He who dies with the most fabric wins. I'll be I win.
Are you keeping your knee wrapped? Heat, (no more than 20 min.) then ice. Keep wrapped with ace bandage. It will take a long time to heal.
How's the diet coming? I think I've gained weight. I also think I won't be able to even think about losing weight until after I retire and can control my life. Of course, with the cost of everything going up, I may never be able to retire. It's so depressing; I think I will have to work until I die.
BTW I won't be a librarian anymore. I've completed my National Board portfolio and my test is scheduled for Friday, May 23. I'm finishing my e-portfolio now for my masters. Convocation is Sunday, May 18 and graduation is Saturday, May 24. I've decided to fly up to San Jose and do graduation anyway.
Then....I'll have my life back.
Oh, and I have to do my taxes yet too.
But...I won't be a librarian anymore. Budget cuts. My school has decided to balance their budget by eliminating my job. So come May I'll have to check the post and bid lists to see what jobs are open. I've got three credentials and 30 years seniority so I can pretty much have what I want. Depending on what there is. There will be a second post and bid in June/July. That's the one I'll probably wait for as the final budget numbers won't be available from the state until after May. If any librarian jobs are available, the June/July list is where they'll be. I'll be bidding on them with 15 other librarians who lost their jobs too.
It all sucks.
Literacy *is* our highest priority. (California: 47th and aiming at 50. Not quite as bad as Mississippi....yet.)
My back was pretty good until today. I spent yesterday and today manhandling an old cabinet I bought at the thrift store into the house to be my new nightstand. I don't know what it used to be, radio or TV cabinet maybe, but it's gutted already. Nice wood and all original hardware with no chips, scratchs, dings or major condition problems. And it makes the bedroom set I bought new 20 years ago look like crap. I don't know why really nice vintage furniture makes new stuff look like crap, but it does.
And I didn't get anything I really wanted to do this weekend done. Clothes still piled on the bed. I watered the half of the planter along side the garage I haven't turned, weeded and planted but didn't have time to actually turn, weed and plant. So....it waits until next weekend.
I'm reading some of the California Young Reader medal nominees for next year. Clementine is a hoot! You'd love it.
I win!
