Government Coverup! Alien Invasion! Mystery Virus! Collegiate Hoax?

I was watching Ghostly Encounters on the Bio channel, when a commercial came up with a distur bing image of chunks of something dropping into a body of water.  Then a banner came up that said, "What happened in Piedmont?"  Then a website appeared.

I didn't know what to expect--maybe a scandal.  Maybe a new tv series or movie.

Here's what I found:

http://www.whathappenedinpiedmont.com/

Supposedly this college kid, a journalism major, had a disturbing call from his little sister ending in some sort of chaos.  Since then, no calls in or out of this supposed town in Utah, Piedmont.  A "friend" supposedly traveled there as he is financially unable to go from California where he is in college to Utah--and who would pick him up at the bus stop?  The friend was supposedly turned back from the main road by the military.  Then, attempting to approach via a back route, they saw military vehicles blocking that road too and took a picture with a cell phone.

He alleges that the town is so small that it doesn't appear on a map.  I checked it out on Mapquest.  No Piedmot, Utah.  My grandma's home town, Geneva, Minnesota, is about as tiny as it gets and you can find THAT on mapquest.

So, I gotta say, though I sincerely believe our government would totally hide anything from us that they felt the urge too, that I believe this is either a hoax or some kid's journalism or psychology class project.

Go check it out though--it's a great creative effort.

LOL
