Monday

I almost don't have the strength to post.

I have spent all day going through my stuff--and I am not done.

We built shelves in my mom's shed and I sent tons of my doll furniture and accessories out there--in addition to many years worth of my journals. Everything is in totes which are duct taped shut and put in black garbage bags also duct taped shut so that dust and stuff will stay off them. I am highly unhappy about my doll stuff going out into a shed that is going to have massive variations in temperatures. I am afraid it is going to wreck my stuff.

But I really don't have a choice. There is no place for it in the house and my mom is frightfully anal about allowing it to sit in the unused three seasons porch.

I almost cried when I sent my two Christmas trees to the consignment shop. Mom's tree in the basement is crap, but she would not swap it out for one of my brand new ones.

I got rid of tons of my seasonal decorations--at least three large totes of them went away--and I put the thanksgiving and halloween stuff into one tote and I had gotten rid of so much stuff that the tote wasn't even full.

I sent a bunch of stuff to the consignment shop, including almost my entire collection of Miniature Magazine and Nutshell News. I kept all my Barbie Bazaar and Fashion Doll magazines. Despite the disgusted looks I received.

Tammy came down from the cities to bring Kim her couch and chair--Kari and Caleb came over earlier. I was in the roasting hot, airless porch from about 10 am till nearly 3 pm, sorting and repacking. I was so hot that when I came in to pee, my clothes stuck to me and I could barely get my pants down.

Tomorrow Mom and I have to run in to Owatonna. I need to pay my cell phone bill and pick up a few things at the store. I have some other bills I need to pay as well.

When I get back here, I have to do some serious organizing in this room as I have a lot of stuff I refused to put outside in the shed--no dolls and NOTHING that was made partially or fully of cloth.

Diane Butler is going to take most of my extra pillows. Most of my so-so blankets and mattress pads are going to the Humane Society.

I am tired and overwhelmed, and all I can think about is how much money I spent on all this stuff--and it is now just getting given away--mostly. Even the stuff going to the consignment shop will not bring in much money. First someone has to buy it.

I am going to attempt to sell some of my dolls on eetsy. I have to learn how it is done. I think Ebay is a bit of a rip off these days.
