But I bet I've been to a lot more countries than you.

I notice....you have not been to California yet.

I went to Washington D.C. but that wasn't on the list. I think I stayed in Virginia when I was there.

Sadly, I have never been out of the U.S. Not even to Canada, which is within spitting distance of me, relatively speaking.

I have never made it to California or any of the western states except for Colorado.

Some of the Eastern states I have were only "passed through" on my way to the east coast. But, I figured, I was there. It counts.

One of these days, when my knee isn't killing me, I have some money, and nothing is on fire or quaking, I will have to come out to San Deigo and visit you.

But give me a few months head's start to clear a path to the guest room and clear off the bed.

I had a layover in Chicago once on the way to England, but I didn't include that one. That's....Illinois, right?

I'll probably get to Florida eventually, my brother and his family lives there. If we drive, that will fill in the southern states. If we then drive up the east coast to Connecticut, where my Dad's family is, that will fill some of that in.

I want to go to Canada someday too. And Japan. And Egypt.
