Today's Accomplishments
I did not think I would get much done today as it was very humid. It made me feel nauseous at first--then, OMG, my knees ached so bad that I wanted to scream. There was NO comfortable position to be in. I tried to sleep it off, which usually works pretty well, but not this time.
I went downstairs and ate breakfast/lunch at about 11 am and putzed around down there for a little while. Jim and DeAnn brought Swayze over to see the kitties and visit a bit. He loves those kitties, though they are not too sure about him yet.
They don't just run and hide from him, but they sneak around behind and under things and peek out at him. He gets excited and shrieks, and I think that freaks them out a little.
They will eventually warm up to him.
When they left, I went upstairs, took two extra strength pain killers, and lay down for a while. Mostly, I just grogged out. I read some email and cleaned out some of my old doll group emails. I fell asleep at some point and didn't wake up til after 4 pm.
My knees felt better then, so I got down on the floor and vacuumed the little area of my bedroom between my bed and the wall, dug more crap out from under my bed, and then cleaned the bathroom floor. It looks really good in there. It's all clean except I need to straighten the towel cabinet and dust it and the storage cupboard over the toilet. I also need to clean the tub, but that's best done right after I take a bath.
Then I went on to vacuum and spot scrub the hallway from the bathroom door to the top of the stairs. It looks pretty goodnow.
I messed around on the internet a little bit after that. then I decided I was hungry, so I went downstairs at about 9:30 and warmed up some spaghetti. I must say that I have been making some mighty fine spaghetti lately. I put rotini in it instead of spaghetti noodles as I figured that would be easier for the Sway-man to eat. I give aobut half of what I make to Jim and DeAnn--they always do so much for me, and often have me out to supper. Besides, i can't eat all of that stuff, and I'd rather give it to people I love than to let it go to waste.
While I was down there, I cleaned the cat litter boxes. I can't believe that they have almost filled one of those big yellow tubs up with their excrement again ALREADY. Thank goodness, there is a spare tub on the front steps that I can pull in to use. I have to turn it upside down again, though, to drain out all the rain water.
Now my arms and shoulders ache from scrubbing, and my fingers feel swollen from the chlorox cleaning stuff I use.
I still have laundry in the basement--one load in dryer, one in washer--as I just didn't want to go down there with my knees hurting like they did today.
Tomorrow I have to go down no matter what my knees feel like. I'll just take some of that crap first thing in the morning.
I will finish cleaning my bedroom in the morning too. Not much remains to be done--I have to clean out my dresser drawers and organize them, then dust the tops of the dressers and the shelves. That won't take long. I kind of enjoy cleaning out drawers.
I don't know anything else today, but I did download all the pictures from the last couple of days off my digital camera, so I might as well show off my babies some more.
Stewie and Peaches. You can see that my bed is actually made!
Momma's precious darlings.
I will never understand how some people can refuse to find cats absolutely adorable. LOOK how sweet they are! Look how Peaches and Tyger Lilly have their arms around each other! That's fucking ADORABLE!
I went to the bathroom early in the morning, and when I came to get back into bed....this is what I found. Sigh.
You can tell by the look on her face that she knows EXACTLY what she is doing, stealing Momma's spot! AND she finds it amusing!
Stewart has such a noble little face.
Momma's little Peach Blossom.
It never ceases to amaze me how much they love each other. How could I ever have chosen one to leave behind to be shot??
I just couldn't do it.
Peaches would have been the one I would have left out--but now, after having her--How would I ever do without her? She's such a tender little soul.
The other two love her so much. They are always snuggling up to her.
She's a very special little girl.
It's a LOVE triangle!
Stewie in the pink kitty bed. He fills it up himself, yet all three of them will squeeze in there on occasion.
Taken in the middle of the night when I woke up to find myself buried under a kitty avalanche.
This is a look of pure bliss. He is sitting in my lap, resting his little fuzzy head against my boobs, purring his lungs out. With my free hand, I am rubbing his tummy--hence the look of stupified bliss.
lol
My peach.

And this, my friends, is what "Happy" looks like.
So.
