Another carload of stuff hauled to mom's today.

DeAnn came over and carried a bunch of stuff downstairs and out to the car for me.  I had several blue Walmart bags containing the last of my page protectors and file folders and computer paper from my home office.  I had several three-ring binders with a variety of stuff in them--mostly crochet patterns or information about writing or other topics I am interested in.  I brought a big tote full of fleece which I had purchased some time ago to make blankets for my nieces and nephews.  Now that I am unemployed, I may be able to get them done for them for Christmas this year.

I also brought Matthew's quilt.  One of mom's friends might be willing to finish it for me.  I have the pieces all sewn together, I just don't have the backing or batting down on it.

I brought a big tub of Barbie dolls and the little shoe-box sized tote that has the "room" materials I have acquired for the Ryan twins, Mary Rose and Mary Beth.  Perhaps I will set up their "room" and take a few pictures of the cool stuff I have collected for them.

I also brought all my tall tote of Playmobil Pirates and accessories.  I did not bring the pirate ship yet as it is so very large and I have no idea where I will put it.

I put away the last of the fabric that I did not get put away the last time I was here.  I also repacked the large tote of flannel fabric so  the cover would fit on it, then I stuck it up on the top shelf of the closet.  The silky/velvet/fancy fabric was already up there.

I redid the dresser drawers and organized them so that all my winter clothing is in one dresser and my summer clothing is in the other.  (Well, not ALL.  Some of the stuff is in the closet.)  I need to reorganize the closet too--but I will probably leave that till I am actually moved in here.

The kitties get declawed and spayed on the 20th.  After that is done, I will bring them directly to their new home.  I hope everyone will be happy.

I have a couple more bags of stuff to go through tomorrow.  Then I hope to organize some of the clutter on my desk.  A lot of stuff just needs to be sorted and filed.  I brought a lot of patterns home this time--they need to be dealt with and filed.  I am trying to put stuff away as I bring it home.  I know things are not efficiently organized to suit all my needs YET.  But I figure I will have lots of time duirng my unemployment to tweak my environment until it suits me.

I hope to do a lot of sewing and reading and writing once this moving business is behind me.  I am very fucking SICK of moving shit.

Tomorrow DeAnn and I are going to go to the midnight showing of Harry Potter.  I've never been to a midnight showing before--it should be fun and exciting.

That's all I have for tonight.  I will try to update a bit more tomorrow--perhaps with some pictures.
