I could not fall asleep last night. In fact, I felt so wide awake that it was stupid of me not to get up and actually do something. It was well after 3 am when I finally began to feel as if I could drop off. I woke up when my mom came down to use the shower and Stewie set up another caterwauling. I don't know if he is worried she will drown herself in the shower or if he thinks it would be fun to be in there with her.
I talked to her a little bit and learned that she had a terrible time falling asleep last night too. She got up at 3 and took an ambien. I should have taken a shot of Nyquil, which usually puts me out, but I didn't.
She went off to Bible study, and instead of getting up and taking a nice long soak in the tub followed by baking cookies, I stayed in bed and slept till nearly noon. When I finally got up, I sorted my laundry and washed two loads. I have one load left to wash. Then I sat on the floor and put all of the patterns I had sorted out into their proper folders in the file cabinet. These were the patterns for my Tonner and Kish dolls. I have not sorted out the Barbie patterns yet.
Mom came down and talked to me for a while as I filed my patterns. She said that her cousin Phyllis would like me to sew some Barbie clothes for her and that she would probably pay me. My question is how much? I like to sew Barbie clothes, but most people want to give you a couple bucks for a dozen outfits, and it takes a damned long time to sew the clothes as I do--all by hand!
I started reading The Secret Garden today--and that's how I spent much of my day. I will finish it tomorrow.
I am not sure what I will read next. Maybe Never Let Me Go, which I have had for quite a while but have not read yet. It was written by a Japanese guy--and it is about cloned children raised to provide replacement parts for people rich enough to have themselves cloned. It sounds very interesting.
I wonder if Hallmark ever made a miniature Fisher-Price barnyard. My eldest nephew had one that we played with for hours when he was little. Now I have a little boy doll from Kish--he was Mowgli, but I have given him a new name. I wanted to call him Paco, which I think is a cute name, and he looks more Hispanic to me than Indian. Well, Paco just did not "stick." I felt like he was gazing at me with his solemn brown eyes and projecting the name "Hector" at me.
"Hector!" I thought. "I don't even like the name Hector! I don't even know how it got into my head!"
But, Hector he is. It "stuck." Now whenever I look at him and wonder how he came to be Hector, he seems to get a very smug look on his face.
The point of this is that I have envisioned Hector having a room with a farm motif. I have made a cushy mattress for a little wooden bed that is just the right size for Hector. I made him sheets that have lots of dogs on them and I have worked on a comforter made of denim with a red flannel backing. I intend to decorate the top of the comforter with iron-on farm animals that I selected myself from the internet and printed on iron-on transfers.
A very long time ago, Hardees gave away miniature pound puppies with kids' meals and I was able to collect a few. Those will go on Hector's bed. I have two or three very small metal tractors that are about the size of the first joint of my thumb. One is a John Deere. The other is yellow--I think it is a Massey Ferguson. I think those will be sitting on the floor of his room. But I'd really like to have a miniature Fisher Price Barn for him as well. I will have to check on ebay to see if they exist. I have a miniature Thomas the Tank Engine. I hope to do another little boy's room in trains. I have a Kish Peter Pan (whose name has been changed to William) but he has projected to me that he wants HIS room done in a pirate motif. Sigh. I do not have any other little boys in that size. I would like to get a DJ, but I'm so broke right now that I cannot afford to pay ATTENTION. Ha.
I thought perhaps I could convince my uncle to make me a box with a couple of window holes cut into it so I can make red gingham curtains with denim drapes. I think I can make him a denim and red flannel rag rug, too. His bed is so cute...it is real wood. I have a cedar chair for his room--it used to be a rocking chair, but one of the rockers got broken off and lost before I could repair it. So I broke the other one off as well. Now it is just a plain chair. AND, I have the sweetest little wooden dresser with drawers that actually open--none of that faux pink plastic shit that poor Barbie has to put up with.
I will have to keep my eyes open at the dollar store for little farm animals. They have to be VERY little to work for this little guy--but I have seen stuff like that occasionally.
Well, it is nearly 3 am again, and there is no sleep in me. Sigh. Regardless, I have to get up early tomorrow to get my days and nights straightened around. I have to be up and out early on Friday as I have an appointment with my therapist in Rochester. It wil probably be my last appointment with her as I sincerely doubt that those bastards will give me my health insurance--despite the promises they made.

Don't ask how much. Find out what the going rate is and say something like "The going rate is $20 per outfit but I'll do each one for $15. She can choose the patter and the fabric." or something like that. If you make it sound like a you're giving her a break, like a family discount, it won't be so bad. You shouldn't work for free nor should she expect you to just because you're family.
I think Hallmark may have made a barn or farm ornament but not so sure it's Fisher Price. They did make some miniature tractor and other vehicle type ornaments the size you describe. I rely on Hallmark ornaments for stuff for my Muffy bears. I also have a mixer and a laptop that were supposed to be refrigerator magnets. But Christmas ornaments are my go to accessories.
The only things I can think of that might be small enough are if Polly Pockets made a barnyard set with animals.
I'm going to bed at 2 am again but tonight I'll fall asleep. I'm going to try to get back into my habit of reading for 20 min. in bed. I also need to start going to bed earlier and getting up earlier. I have a week to get my body back on school time. My school starts at 7:30 am and it's a 30 min drive. Just...fuck.

I guess I will be looking for it at garage sales and second hand stores.
The cheapest I found was $69.
And there are some tin farmhouse and barn ornaments. In fact, I think I might actually have them. Maybe if I clean out some of my ornaments at Christmas I can find them and send them to you. Not as cute as Fisher Price but more home made farm sort of thing. Less commercial.
I went to bed a 2am and read for 20 min. I'm up to chapter 8 in Flawed Dogs.
