You know, I saw a little parrot stuffed toy today in Shopko. I wish I would have bought it. It was the perfect scale for her! I'll have to see what I can come up with for a hat. I can make an eye patch out of felt, I am sure.

I have just about finished the culottes that can be used instead of the pants. I will try to post a picture of them up when I get them finished. Perhaps I will have purchased the parrot as well!

Do a paper pattern first.

But I'm thinking an oval or circle of black felt. Cut a head hole out of the middle to fit her head. Then fold up the front and back and pinch the sides to do a pirate hat, flat side in front. Then cut out one of those skull and crossbones designs from left over scrap fabric and glue it on the front.

oh! What would you think I should sell something like this for, if I offered it to my doll groups? Do you think $10 is too much?

No, I do not think $10.00 is too much.

Is there a doll site you can check to see what the going rates are? Maybe eBay or Etsy? Look at what else is for sale (and selling) and what they're charging.

But $10.00 sounds good to me. Especially for those outfits where you add little holiday things like lace and buttons.

If you have felt, could you make a parrot out of felt?

I could try making a parrot out of felt. I have made miniature bears and horses and weiner dogs out of felt.
