ALMOST done with school....
May. 28th, 2008 10:04 pmIt was only 49 degrees when I woke up this morning--shocking temperature for the end of the month of May!
I slept in (as much as possible) today because I had a doctor's appointment at 7:45. Of course, Ingrid called and woke me up at around 6 am. I'm not sure why--she asked if I was sleeping and I said, "yes."
She then asked if I wasn't going to school today--I said, "Yes, I am going to school, but I am going in late. I have a doctor's appointment, remember?"
Well, she didn't remember. Obviously. So she hurriedly hung up--and then I was pretty much wide awake.
I was almost late for my doctor's appointment.
My blood pressure was slightly high--probably from the stress of rushing to get there on time. She wanted to know how my knee was doing--tremendously better--and how the celexa was working out for me--good, I guess. Only one very minimal anxiety attack.
She gave me a pneumonia vaccination--I was surprised at how much that stung. Usually injectios don't bother me a bit--I am a veteran of being tattooes, so the needles sticks are not too threatening to me.
LOL
Since it was Wednesday, the kids were only there for half a day. I didn't get to school until nearly 9:30. So I had very little contact with the kids. I felt disorganized and confused all day because my routine was messed up.
We had meetings in the afternoon--we were pretty efficient because we were done at a little after 2 pm.
While I was waiting around for three o'clock so I could go home, I made a couple more ears of sweet corn for my Tonner size dolls. It isn't the greatest, but it is acceptable. I think I did a nice job on it. It will get more realistic with practice also. I made hot dogs and frosted donuts as well.
I also found a picture of a paper plate that had a watermelon design on it. I enlarged it and prited off a few which I then laminated for my own personal use. I am planning to do a 4th of july picnic story with my dolls--and I want them to have cool paper plates.
I've taken pictures of the stuff I made, but I haven't downloaded it off my camera yet--and I am too damn tired to do it tonight. Maybe tomorrow I will have the time and inclination to do it.
Not much else is new. I am clinging to the fact that the end of school is in sight. We have tomorrow and Friday and then the week after that. Graduation is thursday, I think, and our school picnic is friday--I THINK.
I am kind of lost.
Anyhow, I am desperately tired and in need of sleep so adios till tomorrow.
