Okay, I think I am well now.  But I am still feeling tired and sluggish.

Yesterday I got up and walked--today I did not.

Yesterday, being Wednesday, was a half day for students.  We had an inservice in a new computer program that will help all us teachers simply and easily create our own professional websites.  It was not hard to catch on to using it, and I think I personally will make some good use of it.

By the end of the day, I was totally exhausted.  If Susan had not been riding with me, I think I might have fallen asleep at the wheel.  We stopped at Best Buy where I bought my very first web cam.  Now, I can let the chosen few see my visage....or not.

After playing with it a while last night, I don't know if I am fit to be seen--mostly I looked VERY OLD and TIRED.  And fat.  Lest we forget.

When I got home, I was tired, but I cleaned up my kitchen and baked some chicken with barley, celery, and onions.  It smelled really good, but I didn't eat that.  I had some left over macoroni and cheese and a tomato sandwich.  The tomatoes were not the greatest, being from the supermarket, but I didn't have any garden tomatoes.  They are always better.

When I went upstairs, I finished crocheting an afghan for the "slumber party" exchange.  I'm ready to mail that off now, I think.

I'm really getting anxious about those darn exchanges.  I want to send them on their way--I'm not signing up for any more for awhile--until I get my life under control.

I worked on clearing off my desk all day, yet it still looks horrible.  I've got piles and piles of papers.  Most of the correcting is done, but I have a lot of  things to file...

Right now I am feeling exhausted, and I NEED to do my walk when I get home...I  really don't want to give it up just because school is on.

I guess I need to bite the bullet and clean out my spare room downstairs so I can go and get mom's old treadmill.  I'll have to ask Jim and DeAnn or Ingrid to haul it for me, since I can't possibly move it in my car.  They both have pick up trucks.  I feel guilty asking them for favors all the time.

The treadmill's another story....sigh

Mom gave it to Jack and Kari--then, apparently Jack decided it wasn't good enough for him, hurt his back or knees or something, so he bought some kind of glider.  So, they were going to give it to ME, since now it was just occupying space in their house.

UNTIL Kari discovered that it had a shelf on it that would hold her book so she could read while she walked.  So, then she wanted to keep it and looked up the weight limits and made a big deal out of my being too heavy for it....

I'm not THAT much over the weight limit, and I've walked on the thing before.

And I'm dropping weight steadily, so I might be under the limit within weeks.

Feh.

It makes me tired.

It's always some damn something.

I have already seen a picture of you. You do not look very old and tired. Not even old. And you don't look over the weight limit for the dam_ treadmill, dam_ selfish vain sabotaging family. Yes, I said it. Feel free to think it over and see if it's true. I'm glad you are feeling better and got some stuff done. So, what's your recipe for a tomato sandwich???

The perfect tomato sandwich: Toast two slices of bread and then butter them with real butter. Put a thin coating of Miracle Whip Light on each piece. Then slice a tomato into nice thick slices and put it on one of the slices of bread. Put the other on top. Don a bib (eating a tomato sandwich is a messy business). Devour it.

One is seldom enough.

Heh heh.

So are you getting the treadmill?

What is with your family?

$20.00 bucks says Kari will use it once or twice and then it will just sit the there.

Weight limit? If it doesn't fall through your floor, it's fine. I doubt you are going to "break" the treadmill. And it will be very good for you. Very healthy for you. My Dad uses one every day for his heart. It helps keep his weight down too. He watches old westerns on video. (And he does it naked.)

I should think your family would be happy for you to get healthier and lose some weight. Oh wait, what am I thinking? It would mean you would GET something for FREE. Heaven forbid they should let you have anything of value.

Tell your mother you want it. Ask Jim and Deann for help. (It will be heavy and you'll need Jim's help.) Go get it and bring it home.

Tell Kari to suck it up.

I hope so....

I have to check with Ingrid about using her pickup. Jim is worried his will not make the trip.

I might have to have a trailer hitch put on my car and rent a UHaul. Heh heh.

Naked, huh?????

What if I die of a heart attack on it? Then they will find me at the base of the treadmill, big old butt sticking up in the air. What a vision!!
