First week of July--my task.
Jul. 1st, 2007 03:12 pmThis is a broad perspective of the area where you walk into my bedroom. The blue plastic container is the storage drawer system from Walmart that is full of my Barbie type dolls.

This is the stack of crap right inside my bedroom door.
This is on the south side of the dresser. It’s a stack of mostly craft stuff and boxes of doll clothes.
The other side of that little window area. Those boxes are doll stuff, craft stuff, and my box of compact music discs.

Here is the southwest corner of my bedroom. The window is leaking water into the room, which got absorbed into the wall paper and traveled up onto the walls. Jim and DeAnn were over one day and discovered the mildew--so they pulled it off. The black stuff is mildew. I have been planning on getting that scrubbed off for at least two weeks, but still haven’t done it.

This is the threshold to my closet. My suitcase is laying there along with my plastic zipper bag with my 2 changes of bed linens in it.

This is the little cube of space made by my window in the corner of my bedroom. There is a lot of stuff that I don’t know what ELSE to do with it jammed in there.
This is the inside of my closet--mainly, the closet floor. Those are my poor cabbage patch dolls lying there in a heap. Poor little things.

Between the bed and the closet.
These are two bookshelves, stacked together. I’ve put a lot of my dolls on there to display, but they are so cramped that they don’t display well, and don’t look nice. I have to find a better way--AND I want to thin out the herd so that I don’t have a bunch that don’t “speak” to me at all. I often get the urge to do that now, and put the cleaning aside, but I am fighting that urge.
I think I NEED to get the cleaning done first before I get obsessive about culling the Barbie herd.

This is over the side of my bed--stuff is always falling over. Like my pillow.

These are the next two shelves down--the top one WAS, like, packed tight with dolls, but a lot of them went into the storage thing. It’s stuffed now, so those poor dollies are waiting their turn--I have to buy another one at Walmart--they are only about $14.00, but I am pretty broke at the moment.

This is on the east wall. There are two bookshelves side by side which have been stuffed full of dolls on the tops and on the first shelves. The next two shelves contain a lot of my books, mangas, dvds video games, and books on tape. I’ve already cleared a lot of the dolls out and put them in a plastic 3-drawer storage container on wheels until I have time to sort them out.
This is just a jumble of dolls waiting to be packed away. Most of these are keepers.
This is on the opposite side of my bed, near the east window. Stuff falls over the edge of my bed, and there it stays until I have the ambition to get it up--which could take weeks or months….or years….or decades….

My bed. The clothes laying on the corner were put on hangers this morning--but that other crap has been on the bed for two weeks--including all night while I am sleeping in the bed. I’ve allowed myself a tiny corridor to sleep in, and that’s it.

This is the nasty little nest next to my bed, by my nightstand. I don’t know WHAT the bath brush is doing there….
This week, I am going to work exclusively on my bedroom (except for the normal dishes and cat litter boxes and so on) until it is done.
