These are all going to Anne from the Marley doll collectors yahoo group.  It is very late, but I think she will love. the variety.

In this swap, she sent the fabric and trims, and I was to make something for her out of them.  Well, i got a little carried away and added some of my own stuff.

The "onesie" (body suit) and socks are made from what appears to be fabric from a little girl's t-shirt.  It's got little butterflies all over it in green, blue, purple, and a lighter shade of purple.  I loved it and was hoping that there'd be enough left of it to make one for my own dolls.  I don't think there is enough left--sad to say.  The little girl's t-shirt was for a very little girl.  the jumper over the body suit was also from the fabric Anne sent me.  I added the buttons down the front from my private stock of stuff, but the lace trim at the bottom was from her.  Green and purple are not usually a color combination i groove to, but with the body suit, it seems to tie together pretty well.

I had some purple felt that melded nicely with the color scheme Anne had sent. she sent the butterfly 'buttons' which i put on the front and the 'dragonfly' buttons I sewed onto the back.  i htink the jacket turned out just darling, and I am definitely going to make some of these for my own Marley and LeeAnn dolls.  I think i will make them just a little longer, however, with just a little shorter sleeves.

The purple flowered fabric for these bib overalls is mine.  Anne sent the adorable pink flowers.  I loved those.  Next time i go to JoAnn fabrics, i am going to look for some for myself.  I wish i had made the bib just a little higher.

These capri pants are cute--I haven't made a shirt to match them yet.

I made a pair of long pants out of the same fabric.  They look pretty good with the little jacket.

Here's the back of the jacket with the dragon flies.

I love to sew for these dollies.

First, this is the stuff from my swap with Desiree.  Isn't it cool?  I love the embroidered hanky!  (Thinking about turning it into a darling dress for a Skipper.)  The little doll modeling the outfit is Phoebe--a cousin to Piper.  I recently found her in a box I was cleaning out, and I decided I would play with her a bit.  She looks adorable in that "Queen of Hearts" picture, doesn't she?

Now, THIS (below) is Tara--she is wearing a valentine dress I sewed a couple of years ago.  I think she looks very sweet in it.  Tara is one of the dolls I bought at a toy auction in Faribault a long time ago.  Things went ungodly cheap there--and if I had known I could use my credit card there--I would have spent a lot more.

This is Tara's mother, Delia.  Delia and Tara were originally the Happy Family Mom and Daughter.  I never liked the dad of that set.  Mattel has a hard time making decent looking men dolls.  I like the way Loanne Ostlie remakes them, though.  They look much more like real people and less like self-absorbed pretty boys.

Delia is wearing the knit pantsuit I got as a prize for winning the Barbie Bingo "First Five" in the Barbies R Us Yahoo group.  It is so much cuter in person that it is in the picture--so soft and the fit is PERFECT.

And here is the scarf and hat I made for Beccak.  It will probably go out in the mail today--now that I have her address again.

Have I mentioned lately that I LOVE my digital camera?

Well, next week is gonna suck, because I cannot go to school today.

I just do not want to.

I'm tired and burnt out and I just want to hang out today.

However, I do need to accomplish the following things:

  • clean bathroom
  • sack up all garbage--including throwing out some of the crap from the freezer in the porch
  • do laundry
  • make tatertot hotdish (yummy)
  • make potato soup (yummy--but need to get some garlic before I can do it)
  • Finish both Halloween Swap packages.
  • Do the dishes
  • Clean the cat box.
  • clean up all the shit laying around in my bedroom.

My god!  How does this shit always accumulate in my bedroom???  I have a three inch walkway between my bed and the door again.

ARG.

The Halloween swaps are both almost done.  The one for Chris in Wichita IS done.  All I have to do is put it in the box and get the box addressed.  I've gone overboard on Kathy's, simply because she is such a dear.  She's getting a whole WARDROBE for hers.  Heh heh heh.  Plus, she is my partner for th BarbiesRus halloween swap too.  She's getting the cat gown.

I hope she likes the stuff!

Chris is getting a cool bonus KEN outfit.

I do love to make these things.

I have to take some more pictures and find my digital camera cord--then I'll post up everything.

THEN I have to focus on the Fall Swap for Jeanne Mari in S. Africa.

I know what I'm making.  I just have to do it.

Okay.

Now I am turning off the computer and getting to work.

Well, the weekend at my mommasan's was very nice. However, I had SWORN that I would be out of there by 9 am on Sunday morning. Alas. I didn't leave til about 4:30 on Sunday night. Sigh. So, I start the brand new week with no clean clothes, a sink full of dishes, carpets that need to be vaccuumed and a toilet so filthy that I feel threatened breathing the air in that room. Also, I didn't do a single bit of correcting while at her house. Nor did I prepare anything for the children to do this week at school. I have survived the first two class hours (and that IS the class I am developing from scratch this semester, so the worst is over.) Senior Seminar, thank goodness, always does Vocab on Mondays, and I have had the vocab done for years. I just had to pull the originals out and run off several copies. Of course I somehow brain farted that the answer sheet has a front AND a back, so I had to get the back sheet run off, pull all the packets that I'd already made apart, and stick that in. Sigh. It always happens on days that are already stressful. On the way home from mom's yesterday afternoon, I pulled over a few times and took pictures with my digital camera of cornfields and the road leading into West Concord, downtown West Concord, and a couple of shots of my house. Eventually, I will post all of these pictures in here. I was gonna do some last night, but I'd left my digital camera downstairs and was too lazy to go down after it. So, maybe tonight. I finished sewing the olive green and cat print dress for Barbie. Then I crocheted an orange shawl to give it a little color. I crocheted that while listening to the last of the Angels and Demons tape last night. Now that my Halloween swaps are done, I have to get them into envelopes and send them off to their new owners. I have to take pictures of THEM too so that I can post them up. Heh. I need to make a couple other little accessories for the Kelly swap. I want to finish making the pirate costume and do a little sweater to go with the orange "poodle" skirt (it has a bat instead of a poodle--heh heh). If I can find a decent pattern, I will crochet the little sweater. Tonight when I get home, I HAVE to do laundry, since I am wearing my last pair of clean pants. Ugh. Next week is MEA, thank God! We get Thursday and Friday off!!!! Hallelujah!!!! I can hardly wait!! I intend to clean my house from top to bottom. I hope at least one day of that four day weekend will be nice so that I can work on my poor bedraggled flower patch. It is SO Unsightly. Well, you will see it when I post the pictures of my house. Perhaps the shaming and scorn of others will chasten me enough to get my lazy ass out there and do something about it. Ack. Well, it is now my prep period, and I have to use every spare second I have today to get stuff done so I don't fall behind. That is all. For now....
