One day last week, I stopped at McDonalds because I was too lazy  to make breakfast for myself.  The sunrise was amazing.  I was sitting at the stop lights, waiting for the green, and pulled out my digital camera and took a quick shot.  You can see the pinky-orange reflection of the sun in the snow melt in the ditches  too.

I would have taken another, but the light changed, and there were a bunch of pissy, impatient commuters behind me who don't stop to smell the flowers....

That's beautiful.

But not worth getting up at dawn to see it.

I am not a morning person. Never have been. Can't be forced to be.

If I give my body the opportunity I will sleep until 10 am. Whether I go to bed a 10 pm or 2 am I'll still sleep until 10 am. And I do my best work at night. Like between 8 pm and 2 am.

I wonder if this is related to my being tired, lacking energy etc. Melatonin imbalance?

But that is really beautiful. I thought only sunset could have that deep purple/pink color.

I see a lot of gorgeous sunrises because of driving East for 30 minutes on my way to work.

We must be on the same biological time clock. In the summer when I don't have school to force me into a schedule, I without fail am up til 2 or 3 am and I sleep till 10 to 11 am.

I feel better, and I am much more productive in the late evening wee hours of morning. I seem to go through a big slump between 2 and 5 pm. I think I need a nap time in there daily.

Well, that's beautiful enough to stop for two pictures and worth the effort to share it (thank you!), and you know what's really gratifying is when you get other people to actually stop and admire what you notice is beautiful. Well, one out of two ain't bad...the latter very seldom happens, IME (in my experience). -Debra
