Pictures from Last Night

Last week on Thursday, Susan and I drove by this river. The big sheets of ice you see there were wedged UP IN THE TREES. They'd been put up there when the ice dams broke and the rivers overflowed their banks. This picture was taken after over a week of above freezing temperatures--so they are still ENORMOUS after having several days worth of melting.


It's hard to tell scale in a picture, but that big hunk of river ice there is as big as my bathrom wall! the littler ones are the size of my dining room table.
