Yesterday I woke up feeling adequate.    My foot hurt, but I was determined to walk anyhow, so I limped my route--approximately a mile.  It was humid and I got sweaty.

When I got home, I had to take a bath as I couldn't go to school all nasty.

I took my pills but was out of time, so I put my oatmeal in a cup and took it with me.

I couldn't seem to coordinate myself to eat, drive, and talk to susan all at once, so I just brought it to school with me, reheated it in the microwave, and ate it there.

Almost immediately after the morning meeting, I began to feel sick.  I felt sicker and sicker.  In the middle of second hour, I started to gag, and had to get up and leave.  After puking in the bathroom, I decided, "Screw this, I'm going home."

I made it through 4th hour.  Then I talked to Jay and he said, "Go home."

I left stuff for my poetry classes, and went home.  I slept most of the day.  Late in the day, I ate a hard roll and a piece of turkey sandwich meat.

It stayed down.  I figured I was on the mend.  I went to bed at about 9:30.

I woke up at 4:30 feeling fair.  I decided I could go to school, so I went early to survey the damage done in my absence.  It wasn't bad.  All my dictionaries seem to have vanished.

Well, before home room was over, I was feeling hot and sick again.  I went to the bathroom, and my face was white, white.  My eyes looked like zombie eyes.  So, I decided I would go home.

I laid out stuff for the classes, and Jay told me to get out of there.

So, I came home, slept a while, threw up a while, slept some more, watched a couple episodes of BBC America's Robin Hood, and slept some more.

Then I talked on the phone a while.

I sewed some doll clothes.

I have several swaps that are all late.  I have to get them DONE and OUT.  I want to get them out by this weekend.

We'll see.  I wasn't planning on being sick this week.

Ah, well.

At least I sorta caught up on my sleep

I hope I can make it through the day tomorrow.  So far, I feel ok.

still feel tired and for some reason my back hurts--probably from laying in bed all day

i've been a lazy lout.

You have not been a lazy lout. You have been sick. And because you are not taking care of yourself but going to work instead, it's taking longer to get over it.

Please take care of yourself. If you're puking and running a fever or have abdominal pain get checked out. Puking alone could be stomach flu or eating something off. But in combination it's to be taken more seriously.

You did have your appendix out, right? Didn't they do that with the hysterectomy while they were in there? (BTW I've never seen a pic of the button tattoo on the belly. Is there one?)

Could it be the heat or humidity? I find the older I get, the less tolerant I am of the heat. At least when it's cold I can put on MORE clothes. What do you do when it's too hot? Get naked?

I don't know if they took out my appendix while they were in there or not. They should have--if they didn't they are idiots.

No, sadly, the belly button tattoo is not there yet. I'm hoping that I can get it done soon. My friend who is the tattoo artist closed his shop and moved and has not called me. I think I was a reminder of his ex-wife, as we met through her. They had a bitter divorce with lots of accusations, and now they are battling over the kids and doing deliberately hurtful things to each other. Or, at least they were the last time I talked to Steve. Pam just disappeared from my life.

Actually, for a while on Tuesday, I was so sick and felt so hot that I did strip down to nada and turned on the air conditioner. I fell asleep and woke up FREEZING, so I put clothes on and crawled under the covers. Heh heh.

Probably way too much information.

Please take care of yourself!! Don't overlook your illness, and blow it off. You are needing to take it easy and not overwork yourself. A lot of folks get sick this time of year with all the weather changes and the Jet Stream moving North for winter. Please make sure you are well.

Thank you--I feel much better now. I think it was just some bug that was going around. Three other people are complaining of similiar symptoms now.

You are not lazy!!!! It sounds like you are better now, but you need to pay attention to what your body is telling you and take care of yourself sooner and don't push yourself to full activity so soon after being sick!

Sorry you were sick! I think the people swapping can wait, you didn't need to sew while sick, but I look forward to seeing what you've made when it's done.

Hugs!!

I'll post pictures.

I feel bad about the swaps-- two were from SUMMER swaps!

Sigh.

Of course, there are two that I have not received from yet either, so I guess fair is fair.
