Monday Morning--A New Week Looms Ahead

Well, another Monday. There are not many Mondays left in the school year! (Hurray!) I LOVE my job. I LOVE my kids. But I need some time off. I went to bed before 10 pm last night, so I am actually well rested for a change. Heheheh Even though the house is still fundamentally a pit of despair, I actually feel like I accomplished quite a bit this weekend. Getting all of the bills paid was a major coup. The laundry is mostly done. The kitchen looks pretty good (unless you look at the floor! DON'T LOOK AT THE FLOOR.) Today my goals are simple:

 

1. Get through the day at school.
2. Correct the rest of my homework
3. Type a test for the Misfits, Outcasts, and Monsters class
4. Line up something for the Graphic Literature class.  (I want to show them some anime this week, but Tuesday and Thursday are going to be weird days as we have the MCA tests--the majority of the kids won't be coming in until noon.)
5. Finish the laundry and put it away
6. Gather up all the garbage and put it on the curb
7. TRY to decide what to do about my novel--it has gone awry.  If I shove on ahead, it will just keep getting further from where it needs to go--but to go back and rewrite the whole damned thing!  The thought alone exhausts me.
8. Work on the Book of Instructions
9. Input more of Max Allan Collins's books to the IBDoF data base.
10. Sweep and Scrub the kitchen floor.

That's enough for one day.

OH--and my new resolve is:  GET THE FREAKING MAIL EVERY DAY.  No matter how much I hate doing it.  Just DO IT.  That's all.

I need to get to the library and get another book on tape.  I can't finish Second Heaven because I can't find the rest of the tapes.  THAT's irritating.  I looked on Amazon, thinking I would just buy a set, but holy freaking shit!  They want $50 for it!  Outrageous.  I think I'll go on later and order the Earthsea Triology on tape.  I love those books, and there's supposedly a movie coming out on it soon.  It would be good to refresh my memory of it.  I should renew my acquaintanceship with the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy as well.  I read it so long ago.

So MANY books.  So LITTLE time.
