OOOOHHHHH Thunder!!!
Jun. 24th, 2005 07:15 amThe sky is rumbling and grumbling. The expected heat-breaking storm must be about to kick in.
The sooner the better, says I.
It was so fucking hot last night that I had a terrible time falling asleep. I finally had to resort to me never-fail option of Nyquil abuse. One shot and sleep is within five minutes. Ahhh
I"m still feeling a little dazzed and groggy this morning.
Anyway. I have updates to write about. Most specifically, my trip to the doctor.
Well, my blood tests turned out MUCH better than I expected. I figured my blood sugar wouldn't be over 200, but I figured it would be in the 170's, since I hadn't tested it in months and since I had been eating whatever I felt like eating, whenever I felt like eating it. It was 157. I've had worse ones when I was doing what I was supposed to be doing!
My long term blood sugar was 7.1--it is supposed to be 7 or less. So 7.1 is hardly horrible.
My cholesterol was slightly up--but since I have been living on McDonalds for the last two months, that's hardly surprising.
I talked to Dr. W. about my real need and desire for breast reduction--and she put in an order for me to see the plastics people. I told her I didn't want anything left of my breasts but a nipple. Heh heh heh. That was a bit of an exaggeration, but I certainly don't want any more than a "B" cup at the most. I'd be totally happy with nothing at all.
:)
Oh, and the coup d grace....I lost fourteen pounds.
That's quite amazing to me, considering the fact that I've eaten whatever was convenient or desirable to me at the moment.
Heh.
So, I have pledged myself to do better.
Yesterday afternoon, DeAnn and I went to Kasson to see Batman: The Beginning. She had not seen it yet, and I didn't mind seeing it again--especially since matinees in Kasson are only $3.00. Heh heh
I have an appointment with Lori at 9:30 am--it is 7:30 now. I'll just have enough time to go through my forums and email and get the bedroom tidied up a bit.
gotta go.
tah.
