Better Attitude this Morning

Well, it is hard to maintain a crabby pants attitude when you are being LOVED and ADORED by a little boy.

The stupid neighbor set off his car alarm at 6 am, waking us up.  So Caleb went into the living room, got his bag of Corn Puffs, and crawled under the covers with me.  So I was eating corn puffs with a five-year-old at 6 am.  My mom took our picture.

He loves jokes and told me the "Why did the chicken cross  the road?" joke about 27 times already.  Today.

He's busily eating girl scout cookies from my mom's freezer at the moment.

Am about ready to go to bed....

Well, Caleb was here until about noon.  We played all morning.

I've been off and on line all day.  It's kind of a wasteland today.  Must be that everyone except for me and two or three other people have actual lives.  What a concept.

I cleaned the five pound carton of strawberries I brought to mom's with me, and mushed the up with a little Splenda--trying to avoid sugar.  Sigh.  Mom made some individual shortcakes--the real thing, not that nasty spongecake crap--and we had strawberry shortcake with reddiwhip late in the afternoon.

Last night, I got sick off the damn tacos I had for supper and spent an hour returning them to the world from the same orifice they exited it from.  Ugh.

Then I couldn't fall asleep, so I watched the sun come up and worked on organizing my pictures on my laptop.  Then I played a little Sims 2.  I fell back to sleep at about 4:30-5 pm.  Then the neighbor set off his car alarm at 6.  Well, then I was up for the day.

I haad intended to take a nice nap in one of mom's comfy recliners in the basement this afternoon--but it just didn't happen.

I did a little sewing on the lady-bug dresses I had cut out for the Tutti-sized dolls.  I think they will be turning out very very cute.

I got back on line about an hour and a half ago, hoping to see my Scrabble buddy Peter for another game.  We played a quick one earlier this afternoon and he whipped me by about 30 points.  Which wasn't bad, considering he was up by over a hundred points for a while.

So, I was forced to acknowledge him as my master and virtually kiss his toe.

Sigh.

I was hoping for a rematch, but apparently he is also having an actually Real Life. 

While i was waiting for Peter to show up, I had a nice little chat with Rich (aka MAF) on IM.  Rich says all women are bisexual.  I am aghast to discover that all these years I have been bisexual and wasn't aware of it!  Damn!  I wonder what else I have never been informed of.

Rich gets so mad when I refer to him as a "little boy"--"Dammit, I'm no kid!"  Heh heh.  Well, he is really a grown up--but at 23, he seems like a kid to me.  He is a sweet kid though...despite his maniacal posts.  heh heh

It looks like a bunch of storms are headed our way--they'll be here tomorrow.

Maybe severe storms tomorrow afternoon.

I miss having my laptop hooked up to the internet so I can be on in the middle of the night when I can't sleep.

I'm sure I will sleep like a log tonight.

I also miss my cat.

She is a puking pain in the ass, but she is my baby, and the bed seems very empty without her hogging the whole thing all night.

I don't know if i can stick around here all day Monday.  I want to go home.

Tomorrow, it looks like the agenda is to spend the day at Jack and Kari's and play games.  We will probably play Settlers of Catan.  It is a fun game--but Jack can be such a sore loser when the game isn't going his way.  Heh heh.  I always choose the brown pieces, which he calls the "shit" and I call "the indigenous peoples."  He is usually green--alien, I presume.  Heh heh

That's about it from me.  I really have nothing whatever of importence to say, but I feel like talking.  So, this is the result of my babbling on and on...nothing too illuminating here tonight.
