Well, this is what it looked like at about 1 pm on Thursday afternoon.

That's my house, and those tracks from the front door are my tracks.

I took this picture on my way to the horrible POST OFFICE.

First, this is the stuff from my swap with Desiree.  Isn't it cool?  I love the embroidered hanky!  (Thinking about turning it into a darling dress for a Skipper.)  The little doll modeling the outfit is Phoebe--a cousin to Piper.  I recently found her in a box I was cleaning out, and I decided I would play with her a bit.  She looks adorable in that "Queen of Hearts" picture, doesn't she?

Now, THIS (below) is Tara--she is wearing a valentine dress I sewed a couple of years ago.  I think she looks very sweet in it.  Tara is one of the dolls I bought at a toy auction in Faribault a long time ago.  Things went ungodly cheap there--and if I had known I could use my credit card there--I would have spent a lot more.

This is Tara's mother, Delia.  Delia and Tara were originally the Happy Family Mom and Daughter.  I never liked the dad of that set.  Mattel has a hard time making decent looking men dolls.  I like the way Loanne Ostlie remakes them, though.  They look much more like real people and less like self-absorbed pretty boys.

Delia is wearing the knit pantsuit I got as a prize for winning the Barbie Bingo "First Five" in the Barbies R Us Yahoo group.  It is so much cuter in person that it is in the picture--so soft and the fit is PERFECT.

And here is the scarf and hat I made for Beccak.  It will probably go out in the mail today--now that I have her address again.

Have I mentioned lately that I LOVE my digital camera?

My day...

DeAnn and I were scheduled to do our Saturday personal development meeting--which we are trying to resurrect after a long hiatus.  Ingrid called and wanted to go to a movie in Owatonna and eat at the Chinese buffet there.

But DeAnn had to run to Zumbrota to pick up her poem for the sculpture she is working on--they are doing some kind of combo art thingy--the poet provides the poem, and the artist does an interpretation of it,.  DeAnn's poem is someting about killing and eating a silver fish.   I thought it was sort of dismal.

I am excited to see what kind of sculpture she will come up with.

I think I would do someting with fish bones and s scattered bunch of scales--in clay, of course.  Not real fish bones and scales.

Anyhow--we went to see Firewall at Cinemagic.  It was okay.  Pretty predictable--but good action.  No sex at all but tons of violence.  They had a real thing about shooting people IN THE HEAD.  Except for the guy who got beat to death with a blender.  It must have been one of the big heavy glass kind and not the new plastic cheap shitty ones they have now.

Harrison Ford is looking OOOOOLLLLLDDDDD.  Too bad.

I had Delia along to show DeAnn the knit outfit I had won, so I brought her in too.  She had her own seat and even her own popcorn--but she must have been to wrapped up in the movie--as she hadn't eaten her popcorn before the end of the movie!

After the movie we went to eat at the Golden Corral.   I felt an extreme protein deficiency--so I ate a lot of roast beef--a big piece of baked chicken and a little piece of steak.  I also ate some mashed potatoes and gravy and a bunch of brussel sprouts.  Yummy.

On the way out, I noticed these little machines--like gumball machines, only one had super hero figurines in it--just the right scale for Barbie kids' rooms.I only had a couple of bucks, but Ingrid took them over to the cash register and turned them into quarters--and I got four--DeAnn gave me her quarters too.  Unfortunately, I got two flashes--but I can always use one as an exchange item.

I put one of my Kelly kids in with them here so you can see how PERFECT they are for a Barbie child's room.

I think it would be cool to have a room set up like the kid is a major comic book freak--and have these little figurines on the shelves.

We stopped in Byron, and DeAnn got gas while I ran into the gas station and bought bananas for her--and also got each of us a powerball--so maybe we are already rich.  That would be such a wonderful thing.

I would help EVERYONE I know--I don't need much for myself--just enough to pay off all my bills and also to buy a decent house in Rochester--and probably some new furniture.

Then--I would pay all my nieces and nephews' ways through college--as long as they maintained a B average--and I would pay Dean Lilya's way as well as Kvetch and Hunter and  MagicFan and GG.  I'd pay for my sister's divorce and give her puke drunk husband 100,000 to get lost and never come back.

Little G would be able to finish her house projects, and Laurie would have whatever her heart desired.  Edge would never have to worry about his finances again.  I would fly all over the world meeting my internet friends and I would help everyone in any way I could.

I'd take care of all my family's financial issues--and donate a shitload of money to R.O.C.  I would indeed have a grand time making everyone, including myself, happy.
