Writer's Block: There Once Was a Girl from Nantucket

Creative Writing Prompt du jour

Please write a 500 word (minimum) story using one of these plots:

Plot 1:  A blind, elderly wizard and 7 10-year-old princesses go on a quest to save the realm from the forces of chaos. 

Plot 2:  An infant dragon, wingless and looking remarkably similar to a piglet, is swept from its nest in the distant alps and dropped into the back yard of a "crazy cat lady" who has upwards of 175 cats.

Plot 3:  A nuclear accident has driven humanity to the brink of extinction.  You have been chosen, along with 49 other people from the state of Minnesota to be sent into the cavernous bowels of Norad where you and your descendents must live in the this "safe zone'  for 200 years.  50 people from each state in the continental U.S. will be there with you.  Describe your life in this situation.

Plot 4:  You are a talking aardvark named Gabriel, sent to earth to warn the population that they must mend their ways of suffer divine retribution.  Record your aadventures.

Plot 5:  You take in a shaggy stray puppy.  it looks a bit like a German shepherd.  After several months, it matures.  On the night of the full moon, you are shocked to discover that your adolescent puppy transforms into an adolescent werewolf.  While a bit wild, he is not depravedly murderous and still remains devoted to you.  Tell the story.

Plot 6:  Your house is infested with dust bunnies.  Not little clots of dust and hair and fuzz.  REAL dust bunnies who eat dust and live under your furniture.  What do you do?

Plot 7:  You are a cat who considers itself a captive prisoner of its human owners.  Chronicle your captivity.
