This has been a singularly unproductive day.
I was up, dressed, medicated, and moderately groomed in time to be on the zoom site by 10 am. The cats were fed, and I even managed to clean up a particularly disgusting pile of cat puke. Total grossness.
DeAnn needed to go to some open houses in her hunt for the perfect new home for herself and Josh, so we only zoomed until noon. I told her of the most recent updates on Lily and Loren, and she showed me three pages of images she created for her business cards and advertisements.
I had plenty of stuff that needed doing today, but I was again so tired. I must have iron poor blood or something because I just wanted to collapse in my recliner and sleep. I never even turned the TV on. I watched some videos on YouTube, including a couple of the tornadoes that just swept through various states on Friday and Saturday. Wow. Some of them were huge. I hope this is not a harbinger of what we can expect for the rest of the spring.
I wanted to nap so bad, but I couldn’t seem to fall asleep—probably because the cats kept climbing all over me. I am going to attempt to go to bed early tonight. I didn’t sleep well last night—I fell asleep quickly, but was waking up every hour or two—either because I had to pee or because the boys were wrestling and leaping and hopping all over the bed (and me).
Late in the afternoon I watched a couple episodes of Walker: Texas Ranger and now I am watching Blue Hawaii, an old Elvis Presley movie. I have a vague memory of watching that movie at the drive in theater in Albert Lea when I was just a little girl. I have noticed that all the people in this movie are spending a lot of time drinking pineapple juice. Now *I* am perishing for an icy cold glass of fresh pineapple juice. I love fresh pineapple too. It is yummy stuff.
I paused the movie long enough to make myself some toast and a couple of fried eggs over easy. It was the first actual food I had eaten all day. I felt like I needed protein. But the eggs just didn’t satisfy me. They filled me up, but they just tasted blah. Part of the problem may have been that the toast was slightly burnt, and I HATE burnt toast.
Blue Hawaii just ended, and it is exactly 8 pm. It’s a little early, but I am seriously considering going to bed. I should sort my laundry, but I don’t feel like it. Tomorrow is good enough.
That’s about all I have to say today. I do hope to decide this week whether or not I am going to refinance my house again—if I do, I will pay off the almost $13,000 for Dean’s loan that I am on the hook for and take out another $6,000 to install the stair chair so I can access my own basement. Depending on how much I’ll have to pay monthly, of course. Maybe I will just borrow enough more to replace my laptop. The screen is all cracked and it takes forever to fire up every time I use it.
Paying off those assholes at Sally Mae will save me a lot of money on interest since it is 14.5% interest, and I can get it through refinancing for 6.5%. Fuck Sally Mae. I hope the greedy sons of bitches that run that usurious place all get sucked up by the next series of tornadoes and spewed out in the haunted forest of Oz where they are eviscerated by flying monkeys.
