My Mom needs knee replacement surgery too. She's also lacking in cartilege. She had surgery to remove a benign growth and that took some cartilege. Wear and tear did the rest. And it's messing up her other knee (just like it is with you. Just like with my sister in law too.) She's compensating for the hurt knee and damaging the good knee. She's putting off knee replacement surgery.
My Brother in Law (the deadbeat) is recovering from his second knee replacement surgery. Looks like his neck is improved too. Wonder when my sister will make good on her threat of "get a job or move back in with your parents."
We should feel lucky. Teachers may not make much money but we have benefits and stable employment.
I fear for the worst if for any reason my sister loses her job. I guess they can sell the house, Don can go live with his parents and my sister and my nephew can live with my parents. My sister only works down the road from my parents' house so the commute will be really short. And my nephew can transfer to SDSU or Mesa College.
