[Error: unknown template qotd]I am a big fan of the half-truth.  If someone's outfit is butt ugly and they think it is awesome, I will praise the color or the accesories.  If it is something more serious--like whether their significant other is cheating on them and I have inside information, I plead ignorance.  "I'm just clueless.  Don't pay attention to that kind of stuff."

Unless it is someone I really care about and I feel they need to know for their own safety or happiness.  I then advise them to dump the bastardo.

How could you plead ignorance on such an important issue like that? I would tell them everything I know unless I'm the one that is cheating on them. But I never did such a thing and never will.

I don't think it does a service to people to lie to them.

While it hurts in the short run, I think people should know if what they're wearing is extremely unattractive and does nothing for them but make them the butt of jokes.

As for the cheating, you bet I'd tell. Because there is a lot more on the line these days then just a betrayal. Like AIDS, herpes and other diseases that a cheating partner can pass on.

That's why I need to not talk to my sister for a long, long time. Because I'd tell her what a careless, self-centered shit she is.
