I've had this little cat for a long time--I thought he was a perfect addition to the "zoo" room, so I donated him to Cynthia's growing collection.

Now, I kinda miss him. :(

I know what you mean.

I bought a cheap glass flowerpot with hand painted flowers for $1 so I could get my cobalt blue pot back from my tech at middle school as it looked like she was adopting it.

I left it when I left because I thought it would be awkward to take it back after 2 years of use. But I miss it and I wish I had taken it. Apparently she didn't take it home either when she retired and when I went back to that school to get a box I left behind I asked about it but no one knows what happened to it.

I miss it.

That is a cute kitty. But...if you weren't really doing anything with it, now it's a lion and has a purpose and will be loved. That's how I have to think of it. Hopefully whoever has my rose painted pot loved it enough to take it.

I'm glad it has a good and loving home where it will be played with. And I think that my interactions with Cynthia are going to guarantee that she is a life-long doll lover. Her dolls will mean to her what mine have meant to me forever, I hope.

It's kind of nice to think of instilling a life-long loveof a hobby into a youngster.

I don't remember who Cynthia is.

Niece or neighbor?

At least if you have to part with a doll, you know it will have to good home with her.

But be careful of the parents. Mine bullied me into getting rid of my beloved Barbie stuff in a garage sale. I have never forgotten and still mourn for them.

Cynthia is my cousin Jim's daughter. She has an interesting story. Her birth mother worked with my cousin who is a very nice guy. At the time, my cousin and his wife were trying to adopt a child from Romania. It fell through. This woman did not want her child, so she offered it to Jim and Diane. A short time later, this woman's sister gave birth to a little boy--Michael. She didn't want him either. So they adopted these two little squirts right from the hospital. Michael also has a sister who was adopted by my cousin's daughter.

It makes me sad every time I think of you being bullied into getting rid of your barbie stuff. :(
