Babysitting the Robin

I am currently babysitting Rob, the baby robin, for Jim and DeAnn.  He was not very happy about being placed in his nest underneath an upside down laundry basket with a chunk of wood on it to prevent him from escaping into the wilderness of the lilac tree, but he has adjusted.  He is eating pretty good.  At the last feeding he ate three balls of meat and a blue berry

I'll be feeding him again shortly, then once more, and then I'll set him in the lilac tree for the night.

I'm really tired, and not feeling very enthusiastic about meeting my homeroom in Rochester tomorrow, but I'll do it.  Once I see them all, I'll be glad I did it.

I hope they do not want to do anything too extreme.

A trip to the coffee shop for some chatting and planning for the future sounds good to me.  We'll see who remembers and shows up.

Ah well.

I  double packed Hunter's dragon today.

I think I made it pretty secure.

I hope it doesn't get broken, like Peter's did.

I got some laundry done.  Hauled that pesky spare microwave upstairs.  Threw away a ton of garbage and sorted through my mail.  Yuck.  I have plenty of bills.  I don't get paid until Friday.  Goddam house insurance is due again.  How I wish the damn thing would just burn to the ground.  The only things I would regret losing are my dolls and my computers.  Heh'

But that's really it.

I threw out another dead plant (I've killed over half of them now--through neglect, mostly.)  I cleaned out the cat box and washed the dishes.

I crawled around on the dining room floor and picked up every damn leave that stupid plant shed.  They clog up the vacuum cleaner or I'd just suck them up.

Right now, my body is screaming for a nap.

I'm soooo tired.

My knee hurts tonight again.  Probably from rampaging up and down the basement stairs doing laundry all afternoon.  Tomorrow morning, I hope to vacuum the two rugs upstairs, then haul the vacuum downstairs to have at the living room and dining room carpets.

God, I am SICK of having a filthy house.

And I am APPALLED that June is almost over and I have not yet accomplished ANY of the tasks I have set for myself.

Sigh

Well, I better get Rob fed again.
