Here is the larger scale hot dog for the day care. I did not glue the hot dog to the bun in these, since they want to play restaurant.

The "cook" can put the weinie in the bun before they serve it.

Those are going to be so much fun for them to play with.

Could you give them lengths of red and yellow rug yarn to be the mustard and ketchup? How about cutting out some green pickle slices and white onion rings?

I cut squiggles of yellow and red felt for the mustard and catsup. I made pickle slices and onion rings too. I didn't get pictures of them as they are already at Kim's house. The pickles looked real enough to eat!

I have to go to her house and get pictures of the other stuff.

The hamburgers and buns look even more realistic than the hot dogs. The kids have played with them like crazy--and they love wearing the aprons. Their biggest problem is no one wants to be the customer! Everyone wants to be a cook or a waitress!
