This was actually made from a pattern for a slip--I added sleeves to it to make it a dress and decorated it with ribbons and lace.

Ella is four, I think. My mom had a bunch of these dolls with a variety of expressions on their facs. She gave all but two of them to her cousin LaVonna for her granddaughters to play with. Little Ella loved them so much that she gave her last two to Ella. Now they are her favorite dolls. I promised Ella I would make her some doll clothes for her babies.

I've been working on them since Sunday.

I finished the three listed today. I also cut out three more little dresses--one with a bluebird of happiness print and the other two were both Easter print fabric that I got on sale ages ago. One has a blue background. The other is green and yellow. The blue one has bunnies and the other has a bunch of different Easter critters.

The pattern I used for these clothes is really old--it is the one my mom used to make clothes for my little baby dolls when I was a little girl. I still have some of the clothing!

Cute. The facial expressions are kinda unusual.

Do you have any of these dolls or just not to your taste?

I never got any like this one. They all have different facial expressions--this one is yawning. It's outfit was a nightgown and a little mob cap. I don't really collect this size doll--these didn't particularly appeal to me. I like the size. It's a good size for a little girl, and I am always happy to encourage little girls to play with dolls!
