All of those boxes plus more around the corner. I packed all day yesterday and a good portion of today.

My nephew Caleb was supposed to come today and carry boxes out of here and into my new house, but it rained heavily all day and there is no sidewalk to the front door. The lawn is very wet and muddy.

We decided to wait for a dryer day.

Good news today! I got an email from the lender with the 26 age appraisal. I am paying $79000 for the house. It appraises at $90,000.

Excellent!

Are you going to have to come up with the $7,000 down to meet the 20%?

What about all your stuff in the garage? Once things dry up enough, you should be able to move that stuff quickly since it is already boxed up and ready to go. I'd do it first to make sure it doesn't "disappear" when you're not at your Mom's house to keep an eye on it.

Are you still planning on taking Mojo with you? How does he feel about Peaches and Stewie now? Will the three of them get along at the new house since it will be neutral ground to all of them?

I guess you should put a walkway on your list of improvements. One from the sidewalk and one from the driveway to the front door. Even if it's just a gravel path. Stepping stones would be nice. There are some nice concrete ones at the home improvement stores.

Me? I'd buy a mold and pour my own with concrete. That way I could put some decorations in the mold before pouring and make them unique. I've done mosaics and broken crockery. My sister actually cuts stained class into designs. They are really nice and much cheaper if you do them yourself.

Or I'd get some brick and put brick in sand. That way it can always be taken up, moved or replaced very easily. Plus no problem with the snow and ice. Or maybe locking pavers. There are a lot of designs and colors. I almost put pavers in my driveway but went with the driveable grass instead. (Boy, the city better pay to have it all repaired once the water pipe and asphalt are gone. I'll bet money the contractor won't do squat and I'll have to complain to the city and threaten to sue.)
