We used to get something called The Penny Saver but it's been gone for a few years now. I imagine it is like the other third class flyers. I get them because I'm in a house but I expect those with P.O. Boxes don't. I had a talk with the postman about it once. He said he never has enough so he always made sure I got one because I owned my home. He also said that that junk mail is what kept the post office going. They don't make enough off letters and packages. It's all that junk mail that pays the bills.
Too bad about the trees. Do you have a better view of whatever there is beyond them or do you now have a lousy view of other houses that the trees were blocking? I sure hope they didn't clear them to build something awful that now you'll have to look at. Might be worth a call to the parks department to find out what is going on. A nice view increases property values. A big ugly monstrosity of something will lower them. Now if they were starting to intrude on power lines or were in danger of falling over during a storm I can see their removal. We have that problem here with Eucalyptus as it is shallow rooted. When there is a lot of rain and the ground is soft, a wind can knock them over. But mostly we just trim trees back, removing dead growth. We don't cut down a healthy tree.
