On December 26, my nephew Caleb called, wanting me and "grandma" to come over to their house to see their presents and play.

Their house is colder than HELL.

(Well, I suppose everything is colder than HELL.)

We went down into the basement where we first watched Shark Boy and Lava Girl, which had interesting special 3-D effects.  Unfortunately, I fell asleep through part of it.

Caleb couldn't tell, since I had the 3-D glasses on.  heh heh.  I was totally wrapped up in a big soft blanket, and he was cuddled up beside me.  It was very sweet.  He can be a VERY sweet little boy (when he isn't being a little shit).  Ha ha. 

Then he wanted me to build him a big castle out of legos--so I did my best.  Legos are quite fun to play with, I must say....

We watched The Iron Giant while we did that.  Then we ate a late lunch of Christmas left overs.  Then we went upstairs--and we played some games of dominoes with him--he enjoyed that.  Then the adults played a rousing game of settlers.

I was lucky in getting two really good spots and in having my numbers rolled often.  So, I kicked everyone's ass.  I don't think I have ever had such a sweet victory in Settlers.  I took the lead early and maintained it the whole game....got my 13 points to win before anyone else broke 9.

Hurray for me.

Then we watched Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone--during which I again fell asleep on the couch...After a while, Kari served warmed apple pie with homemade ice cream.

THAT was delicious.

Then the Mama and I went home.  I went to the basement and caught up on my email--and I believe Peter came on and we talked a bit.

Then I went to bed.  Slept til about 10:30 and got up and down loaded the Christmas pictures onto mom's computer.

Darla came over for coffee, and we chatted a bit.  Then I loaded up my car and came home.

It was about 5 pm when I got home.

On Wednesday, I was at school by 8 am.  Only three kids showed up--Dean, then Lisa, then Sam Restad.  I worked on organizing my patterns, and ran off a few extra copies of things.  I also cut out a few patterns.

I think my new system is going to be nice.

Later, I took Dean and Lisa to Pizza Hut.

We chatted a bit.

Then I went home.  I was very tired.

And that's about it.

I'm pretty much caught up now.
