Doll family
Apr. 23rd, 2009 08:52 amOh, happiness! Two orphans have a daddy now.
I got Dick Tracy (nekkid, of course) from Cherished Friends for a very very cheap price. I clothed him in one of the many man-outfits I have recently made and gave him Ethan and Emma as his children. I bid on a lovely mom for them on Ebay, but I wasn't willing to pay more than $25 for her, so I lost her. I will keep trying though, till I get her. I want Melanie from the GwtW series for the mom. I think she and "Dick" would make a lovely couple. He looks stern and she looks gentle, so they would balance each other out.
Of course, I am not leaving him with the name "Dick Tracy." I am calling him Taylor Dixon. "Dixon" is a shout out to his "Dick Tracy" roots.
Pictures? Oh, but of course!!
I still love my ancient digital camera.

this is the GWTW Melanie I have a bid on. I hope no one else wants her. I want her to be the mom to this little family.
And in other dolly news! On my Cheery Agnes Dreary group, i won a random drawing for an Uglidoll. it arrived last week.
I gave it to my Ernestine because it looked like the sort of thing she would really like. And of course, she loved it and immediately changed its name from Jeero to Bludge. I am thinking I may have to try my hand at sewing some thing similar...i am pretty sure I could do it.

Just in case no one knows this interesting information--i made this skull sweater out of a Halloween sock.
Woot!
I think it looks quite swell. Even if I do say so myself.
