Pretty Busy All Freaking Day Yesterday
Nov. 6th, 2005 09:07 amI went to breakfast with Jim and DeAnn--we went to Happy Chef, which was so much better than Perkins has been lately that there is no comparison. Sure wish I could go there again TODAY for breakfast. I love eating breakfast out!
Afterwards, DeAnn and I went to Walmart while Jim ran over to Fleet Farm. I picked up three months worth of Loratadine (for my allergies) and DeAnn convinced me that I need to be taking Flaxseed Oil, so I got a giant bottle of that too. What else did I buy? hmmm.....well, four ribeye steaks, as DeAnn and Jim have invited me over for lunch today (Sunday), and they ALWAYS have me over for meals, and I NEVER have them over--mainly because I have no living room furniture to provide comfortable seating for guests.
I also bought three cheap Brand X doll outfits that will fit the "Yumi" doll that I bought at Toys R Us months ago. She is about the size of the former teen skipper dolls. Her head is a little bit large and out of proportion--but not as bad as the My Scene dolls and CERTAINLY nothing like the hydroencephalatic BRATZ dolls. GEEZ, those things are HIDEOUS.
I picked up three packages of tiny Christmas appliques that will work beautifully for my smallest children dolls. Each package was almost $2.00, but each contained FOUR tiny appliques--2 santas and 2 snowmen in each. Huzzah. I really want to list some Winter/Christmas Barbie Clothing on ebay before December--just to SEE if I can make some money through it.
I bought several yards of tiny cording so I can finish the smocky dress that I started--and so I will have a ton more cording so I can make more of them. The dress is completely sewn now, except for the cording. I fell asleep before I could finish it last night.
I also picked up a 3 yard remnant of some pretty light pink and blue trim which is small enough even to trim tiny Kelly doll clothes.
I didn't write a word on my Nano yesterday. I just couldn't focus on it. I tried.
I talked to Pat Day on the phone yesterday. How depressing it is to hear the shit about the evil Bret Joyce. Apparently he's got Bob H. on the edge of a nervous breakdown, and he is crucifying poor Diane D. who is too tender and weak to stand up to him. Fucker. I HAVE to write my letter to the school board, giving them my final SHOT on that bastard. When I do this, I WILL post it up here for all to see.
My goal is to make the fucker cry.
I HATE him.
Today, I have to do laundry and do some house cleaning. I'm invited to Jim and DeAnn's today for lunch. I'm bringing either my sewing box or the afghan I am making for Steven along to work on. The afghan is getting big, and I am so proud of it. I love the color. I think I saw the yarn that I'll use for PM's afghan when I finish this one. I'm on a roll!
I have too damn many irons in the fire, and it's making me feel overwhelmed.
Here's my list of things to do today:
- laundry
- sweep and scrub kitchen
- vaccuum and dust living and dining rooms.
- rearrange dining room.
- make tatertot hotdish so I have something to eat all week.
- Bake two remaining squashes and freeze what I do not eat
- Bake cookies
- finish Jeanne-Mari's autumn swap
- Assemble Piper's stuff for her trip to Louisiana.
- sack up garbage.
- sort through the mail I got on Friday
- Pick up the clutter that has again overtaken my bedroom
- Vacuum the interior of the car.
That should do it.
