These pictures were taken after Darla's funeral at mom's.  This is her upstairs tree.

Cora is enjoying a little APPO-JOOTS in her tippie cup.

On the way to my mom's house on Christmas Eve, I had to pull over to the side of the road and take a picture of the sunset because it was so very incredibly beautiful.

And here's another shot of it.

And another.

Miss Cora couldn't even wait for the rest of the family to get down to the basement to open gifts--she attacked her giant present immediately.  It turned out to be a little kitchen playset.  She was delighted.

This is my mom's basement tree--it is entirely decorated in angels.  The young man there is my nephew Lucas.  He was being the "elf" and passing out the presents.

My sister Joni and her husband Jeff.

My sister Tammy--and the back of her husband Burt's head.

Miss Cora checks out the stash of  "play food" she got from Auntie Kim.  Cora LOVES her play food.

That's my foot you see there in the foreground.  Just a shot of the chaos.

My brother-in-law Kevin is so bored with the festivities that he is reading the "Sparrow."

Lucas and Kari are both elves now....

Hard to believe my beautiful little Matthew is already a man.  *sob*

Everyone is absorbed in their Christmas packages.

Caleb enjoys his spinning Santa that lights up.

There is my good little boy.  He's growing up way too fast too.

Sadie is delighted by the set of earrings she has been given.

More chaotic Christmas Cheer.

Kyle is absorbed in the television.

Kim holds the cute elf I gave her for Christmas.

Tammy holding her "lap dog" Coconut!

A better picture of Kyle.

Cora looks sad--no more presents  to unwrap??

A daddy hug makes it all better!

And even better than daddy is.....GRANDMA!!!  Who doesn't mind if little girls take their stockings off.

Oh, she is DEEP in thought.

Tammy sets up the donkey.

The kids playing "Buckaroo"

I had to zoom in here to get a picture of those darling little TOES!!

Sadie nibbles a homemade caramel while Caleb manipulates Spiderman and Cora carefully adds a ring to the donkey's burden.

Lovely pictures. I like that light in the upstairs room, the sort of hurricane globe one in the first picture.
I hope, despite the loss of darla, your holiday was as good as could be *hugs*

I meant to say that Jeff looks a little like William Shatner

He acts a little like him too--egotistical...heh heh heh.

The hanging globe lamp used to have a matching table lamp, but one day my mom was using the rug doctor on her carpet, sucked up the cord, and tipped it over where it shattered.

I was very happy she did it herself, as if anyone else had done it there would have been seven kinds of hell to pay.

Oh, my mom's like that, if she does it's "haha woopsie" anyone else and it's still talked about 20 years later LOL

Aw Cora's just so.... aw! Hehe, Alice is a 'big girl' now and doesn't like play food or kitchens. Wow, a foot (That's the most we've seen of you in any of your picture posts...).

So... any of your nephews (Over 14, pref.) single?
