This is the sofa--it's just a basic sofa--simple and not too expensive. It is higher than the average one and there is less space between the back and the end--which is good for my short stubby legs. The texture is kind of cool on the fabric that is on it--but the color is a more goldy shade than it looks here. I didn't like it. But I can order it in any fabric I want for no extra money.
I am thinking of getting it in that nice chocolate-brown microfiber--it looks like leather, but it isn't.. The striped fabric is for the accent pillows. I like the texture and colors there.
I also looked at recliners. The sort of paisley looking fabric, I thought, looked nice with both the leather-look and striped fabrics. I'd probably put that on the recliner.
I liked this fabric for a recliner even better. I love the way the colors look together.

Date: 2007-03-21 01:24 am (UTC)I love the chenille. Don't care much for the microfiber fake leather but it will clean beautifully. The paisley is nice. Have you considered a chocolate brown like the faux leather but in the same chenille the sofa is already in? The stripe and paisley in the second picture look really nice together.

Date: 2007-03-21 05:31 am (UTC)I can see the sofa in a chocolate brown chenille with the paisley pillows. Like the first picture only the sofa in brown and the pillows in the paisley in the third picture, not the last picture. That paisley picks up all of the colors in the stripe while the paisley in the last picture doesn't.
A sofa is a really big piece of furniture. Better to have it in a solid color and accents in patterns. Likewise a recliner is big but not as big as a sofa. So a stripe would be OK. That stripe would be pretty in a recliner as it's a very narrow stripe. And that paisley in the third picture complements all of the colors in the stripe better than the last one.
I'd avoid a paisley in either the sofa or the recliner because that is a big piece of furniture and that much pattern can be really overwhelming. And a sofa is an expensive piece of furniture if you make a mistake. I rather like avante guard and adventure. But I'm real conservative when it comes to a big ticket item.
My car is classic black because I didn't want white and didn't like any of the colors available. My previous car was black too.
Lucky for me cars don't come in paisley.
