I  am sitting on my couch with a bag of frozen cauliflower, carrots and snow peas on my knee.  I'm watching "Fools Rush In," which is one of my favorite chick flicks.  I'm not a huge Matthew Perry fan, but I like him in this movie.  And Salma Hayek is such a beautiful woman.  I wish I looked like her--or Jessica Alba--or Rosario Dawson...heh heh.

Anyhow--I hurt my knee in December--jumping on my minitramp for too long, I twisted it or something.  It feels like it pulled a muscle on the inside of my knee.  Anyhow--I was sure it would get better if I just gave it time.  Well, it got better, then worse, then better, then worse.  I knew if I could get to Lori Cole, my chiropractor/acupuncturist, it would be better right away.  Everytime i made an appointment with her, something happened--usually a massive snow storm.

Well, last week was my spring break and  I finally got in to see her on Wednesday (and again on Friday).  It was better right away on Wednesday--but by Friday it was very painful again.  Friday it was much better again after the treatment.  Yesterday it was awful.  I wanted to cry most of the day.

Ingrid and I went to Kasson to see 10,000 BC but surprise surprise, apparently the Kasson Theater no longer has a 1:30 movie.  So, instead we went to Daniels and had lunch.  We both had salads then split a Devil Made Me Do It piece of chocolate cake.  It was really rich and yummy.

I went home, took ibuprofen and napped for a long time.  I iced and heated my knee also.

Then DeAnn called and we discussed getting together at her house and watching a movie.  I went to Dodge Center to pick up a couple of pizzas and brought them to her house.  We ended up watching four hours of HGTV.  :D

I tried to tempt the adorable Bear (their black kitten) into my lap for some snuggling, but he was not having any snuggling from me.  He is so cute and fuzzy.  I didn't have my camera with me or I would have taken a million pictures of him.

He has the sweetest little patch of white on his tummy.

Can you tell I love kitties?

LOL

I got home at about 11 pm and used the heating pad again.  My knee felt a lot better when I got home from DeAnn's house.  Probably because I had it up the whole time I was there and iced it for a good portion of hte time.  Putting it up seems to help.

Today I woke up late--I didn't even come downstairs till about noon.  But once I got down here, I limped down to the basement twice and got my last two loads of laundry washed.  I had taken my big suitcase with me  to Mom's on Thursday and did my two loads of dark clothes at her house.  Her basement is finished and I could just sit down there in a comfy recliner while they washed.  I shoved them back into suitcase and dragged them home again.

I'm not real fired up about going down to the basement to take the load out of the dryer and put the load in the washer in the dryer.  It hurts a lot to go up and down stairs.  But, I don't want to leave the clothes in the washer over night.

While I was doing the two loads of laundry, I sacked up some garbage in the kitchen, cleaned  the kitty litter box, swept the kitchen floor, cleaned the toaster oven, microwave, garbage can and stove, and scrubbed the kitchen.  After that I vacuumed the living room and dining room and did a little dusting.  I sacked up more garbage in the living and dining rooms and folded the clothes that were in the dryer from last week.  I sat on my rolly chair and did most of the work since it hurts too much to stand up.

In a few minutes I am going to have to go upstairs to pee.  I'll haul a load of clothes up with me to hang up and put in the dresser.  When I come back down again, I have to find something to eat. I'm getting really hungry.

Not much else is new.  I've been sewing for my Tonner dolls quite a bit.  I'm almost done sewing up all the things I had cut out in advance.  I don't want to do that again--by the time you get around to sewing them, you are sick of those colors and fabrics and anxious to use the various NEW fabrics you accumulate.

I need a twelve step program for fabric addiction, I think.

Sigh.

Later, perhaps I will post pictures of some of my more recent projects.

well, gotta go.
