Got Bonnie Tyler in my head this morning.

For some reason, this song is in my head today.

I love Bonnie Tyler. I love this song.

I love the image of the eclipse of the heart--a period of darkness and cold--will the light and warmth come back? Or will we be in icy darkness forever? Then, slowly the shadow moves away--and the light comes back. OUr blood warms again, and we move on.

I can really relate to the lyric about "Every now and then I get a little bit nervous that the best of all the years have gone by..." Have I used up all the best of my years in teaching? It was a good thing--working with the kids, helping a lot of people start out with a better chance at succeeding than I had when I left school.

But, from a personal standpoint....other than the satisfaction of helping others...there has not been any mad sense of adventure or romantic interludes worth mentioning.

Oh well.

We also stand who serve and wait.
