Here is Rob the Robin--Jim and DeAnn's orphan.

The little guy still has his baby fluff here.

CRAZINESS

Well--I suppose I need to get on with the day.  I've been laying around in bed, feeling half dead.  I think I got too much sun yesterday.  I have a headache and feel sorta shitty.  I think I just need to get up and get going.  It seems like once I get going, I can keep going.  But it is so damn hard to do that!

Heh heh

I'm just lazy, I guess.

Today I need to do laundry, since for the next three days they are going to be dinking around with flushing the hydrants and stuff, and the water will be nasty and stain everything.  The cat (amazingly enough) hasn't puked on the bed for quite some time, but she has shed her fur everywhere on it, so it is like sleeping on a giant furball.  I'm constantly waking up with cat hair in my mouth.  Yuck.

I also want to take the mattress off the box spring and put that non-skid stuff between the two so my mattress stops sliding all over the place.  I sure wish I could afford to buy a better bed.  This one is the suckage.

I have so much to do that it exhausts me just thinking about it.

sigh.

That's what months of procrastination does.  It very much sucks when you finally have to deal with what you've let slide.  Sigh.

I need to get a system that works for me.  I need to get things into an order that I can maintain.

I think I need those people who come in and redo and organize your house for you to come in and do mine.

The only problem is, those bastards would tell me I could only keep three barbies, and I'd have to kill them.

Heh heh heh

So, here is what I hope to accomplish today (trying to stick to the "Three Thing" rule that Sarah gave me.)

  • Clean and freeze the raspberries I picked yesterday so they do not go to waste.
  • Sort and do laundry
  • Clean the kitchen (do the dishes, sweep the floor, clean off the surfaces, scrub down the stove which is gross, maybe actually cook something so I have food to eat this week.  I already cleaned out the fridge.)

Then, I'd like to finish going through my clothes...getting rid of the stuff I no longer wear.  And giving it to Kari for her garage sale.  I also need to sort through some of the barbie bimbos to put on her garage sale since I told her to go ahead and list Barbies in her add.

WEll, it is now after noon, and I have done nothing--including taking my meds.  So I better get my ass in gear and get it done before I expire.

Ta

I cannot believe it is already 7:30 pm.  Where on earth did the time go??

The good news is that I got all of those raspberries cleaned and dealt with.  I got four small boxes in the freezer and I have one in the refrigerator for eating.  It took about two hours to do it all.  Cleaning raspberries is putzy.  You have to look into each little hole to be sure there is no worm or bug hiding out in there.  I sprinkled them with a little sommersweet (artificial sweetner that is fucking expensive) and shook them up to mix it in.  Then, into the freezer they went to await a later date.

I got the huge sink full of dishes washed, and scrubbed off the filthy stove.  YUCK.  It was truly disgusting.  I even scrubbed off  the burner thingies and the little metal rings.  I haven't washed my bedding yet, and I have to get that done if I am to sleep in an actual made bed tonight.

I was going to zip down and do that a moment ago, but Toby (AKA Sheriff Lytton) came on, and I hadn't talked to him in AGES, so I had to catch up.  He's joined another band.  I hope I get to hear some of his music sometime.  He is truly a very good egg.

I did a lot of food pre-prep downstairs--I made a cucumber salad (love that stuff!), cleaned my celery, cleaned the carton of strawberries in the fridge, and divided my head of cauliflower into meal sized portions and put them in zip lock bags.  Now all I have to do is throw them into the steamer and viola!  I will have healthy, nourishing vegetables.  I have NOT been eating very well in months.  It is a miracle I don't just keel over and DIE.

Tomorrow, I have to go fill my car up with gasoline.  I have to buy some more orange garbage bags, and I have to get a money order to pay for the 20 Kelly and Tommy dolls I just bought on Ebay.  I need to get that payment in the mail right away as that chick will relist them and give me negative feedback if she doesn't have payment in 10 days.  Hopefully she will take into account that she did not respond to my request for postage amount for three days after I won the auction.  Sigh.

I should probably NOT have bought them, but they were going for practically NOTHING, and they are soooo cute!!

I was thinking of giving some of them to my new friend in South Africa.

Well, I absolutely HAVE to get my sheets and quilt in the washer right now because I won't be able to wash them for three days other wise, and I have already stripped them from my bed.

This means, of course, that I will be sleeping on the bare mattress tonight, but so be it.

I just talked to DeAnn and she is doing well.  We may go eat Chinese in Kasson tomorrow for lunch.  I have to finish getting that garage sale stuff together tomorrow, and should go to my mom's tomorrow in the late afternoon.  Sigh.  Caleb will be staying over night with her on Monday night, which doesn't fill me with glee, but I can tolerate it.  Heh heh.  I do love him.  He just exhausts me.  Maybe we will do crafts together or something.

I need to eat some supper too.  I'm hungry.

Peter hasn't been on line since early this morning, and it is getting rather late, so probably there will be no scrabble game tonight.  It is just as well, as I am feeling kind of tired.

I do miss him when I don't get to talk to him a couple times a day.  heh heh

Nate has broken his hand.  I have no idea how.  Poor kid.  If I were a wealthy woman, I would pay his freaking car insurance for him.  Unfortunately, I am living hand to mouth myself.  I HAVE to start working on my writing.  If I could publish a few short stories or something--get myself out of debt--then I could do more for good people who need the occasional helping hand.  I HATE being poor.

Sigh.

Well, I am actually going to get my ass downstairs and put this bedding in the wash.

After that, I hope I will be able to write a little bit.  I got a PM from Evaine about my Torture story.  She said she thought about it all day.  It's funny she should send that to me today as I was just thinking about it today while I was freezing the raspberries.  I would really like to work on that a bit tonight.  The problem is that it is so freaking DARK that it depresses me to think about it.

It ends well....but having to write about this poor kid getting tortured and abused and knowing all the while that he is innocent--well....it's fucking depressing.

Maybe I'll just grit my teeth and go at it.

:)
