Writer's Block: Full Moon Fever

Saturday

I woke up feeling okay this morning.  I didn't come downstairs till after 11--and then only because I had to rush to Kasson to pick up a prescription before the drug store closed at noon.  I went to the Hardware Hank store in search of a gift for Mom and some little stuffers for the stockings I am filling for my homeroom and my friend Rick. 

When I got back to West Concord, I collected my mail, which I hadn't done for two weeks.  Yes, shame on me.  I am sure the post office lady hates me.  But I HATE getting my mail. 

Shortly after I got home, DeAnn called to tell me she was in the driveway, so I had to hurry up and pee as I knew I wouldn't be able to hold it all the way to Owatonna.  We had intended to go to the movie Australia...but in fact, neither of us were really in the movie mood, so instead we went to lunch at Applebees.  We had their special--two entrees and an appetizer for $20.  We had spinach and artichoke dip as our appetizer and we each had the 7-oz steak with shrimp and cheese topping.  I had a baked potato and she had mashed.  We both drank unsweetened tea and had broccoli, carrots, and summer squash with our meals.  It was very good--but boy, was it salty! 

DeAnn stopped at alltell to return her car charger as she got one for about half the price somewhere else. 

When we got home, I gave her the two bags of kiddy videos I had bought from Kari and Jack for Swayze.  I also gave her the Lofty mom had given me for him, the thing for the rebate on our phones, and the big bowl of home made chili I had promised them. 

When she left, I sorted out my laundry and started doing it.  Climbing up and down the basement stairs is a hell, but I can do it.  I made two trips up and down today, and then I decided I would go up to my bedroom and play a little Sims.  I didn't play long, but I got my lady up to a level six in creativity.  I also planted some fruit trees in her yard and had her teach her cat to play dead.  So, it was a productive session on Sims.

Before I went up, I also crushed some pop cans and did dishes. 

My stomach has been hurting a little this evinging.  I am not sure why.  It bloated up and was sore to the touch from the outside.  On the inside it felt like a terrible over all itch but UNDER my skin.  It hurts to cough and blow my nose, and I seem to be doing a lot of coughing tonight.  Before I lie down to sleep, I am going to take a little nyquil to stop the coughing.  I'm tired so I will be going to sleep very very soon.

Tomorrow, I need to finish the laundry and put it away, sweep and scrub the kitchen floor.  It needs it badly.  I also need to pay my bills and get the nieces and nephews' Christmas envelopes stuffed.  If I have any life left in me after that, I would like to vaccuum and dust the living and dining rooms. 

And, lest I forget, I have some school work that needs to be corrected.  Sigh.  My work is never done.

We are expecting shitty weather over night--most likely freezing rain.  Then it is going to get godawful cold for Monday--up to -30 wind chills.  Brrr. 

Who knows, maybe we will have another snow day on Monday--I wouldn't cry if we did.  I have plenty to do. 

I would also like to bake cookies tomorrow.

We'll see if I can even manage to get out of bed!  LOL
