Josue's second birthday
May. 4th, 2009 12:17 pm
Josue turned two on Sunday, May 3. His mommy and daddy, grandma, and I went to the Chinese buffet for lunch to celebrate his birthday.

Swayzy LOVES Winnie the Pooh .

This is Winnie, the daughter of the lady who runs the restaurant. She looked so cute in her little Japanese outfit. she was attracted to the birday party table. I gave her a hat to wear, and she snuggled up against me and chatted away during the whole time we were there.

Daddy helps Swayzy open his present from Grandma.

Swayze got a little barn full of books! He loves his books.

Jim shows Winnie some of Swayzy's books.

All the folks from Josue's birthday. Everyone smiled except for Josue. I think he was feeling a little overwhelmed.
My fortune cookie said, "You have a magnetic personality." It must have been working on Winnie, since she spent the majority of the time pressed tight up against me, her little cheek resting on my chest.

it was such a gorgeous day on Sunday that i took a bunch of pictures.
This picture doesn't do the willow trees justice. They sun shone on their new greenness and looked amazingly beautiful.
These willows are on old 14, near the nursing home in Dodge Center.
This is just some trees near the edge of West Concord.
This is the scuzzy little creek that runs along the far end of West Concord. If I were 10 years old, I would sooooo spend my days out there, playing with my barbies along the side of the creek and looking for tadpoles.
A little closer view. See the birds in the rushes?
The trees are all budding out--soon all of them will be rife with leaves.
Just someone's back yard, showing how all the trees are in different levels of budding and leafing out.
Looking east down the street from the old school building.
What room of the house are you??
