I took a little tour of my mom's scanned photos when I was home last time and put some of them into my flickr account because they brought tears to my eyes....

Oh, why oh why does time go by so fast.

Erik (little darling to the left)  has always been a kitty boy.  Even now that he is a senior in high school, it is not uncommon to find him in the horse barn, lying in the hay, completely covered with happily purring and snuggling cats.  And sometimes a chicken or two.  The boy loves animals, and animals love him.

I've always hoped he would be a veterinarian.

Kyle (to the right) graduated from high school last spring...He isn't quite the animal boy that Erik is, but he does like furry critters too.

The sweet kitty in this picture was bottle raised by my sister after its mother was killed by my brother-in-law's stupid,  vicious, blood-thirsty hunting dogs.  The kitty was such a trusting little love-bug.  (both the one in the picture and its mommy kitty.)

Sadly, this little girl met the same fate as her mommy kitty.  Only it was my stupid brother in law's stupid friend's stupid, vicious, blood-thirsty hunting dog.

Where did my little boys go????

And there is my adorable little Lukeybug.  He soooo wanted to be a kitty boy, but his father refused to allow a kitty on the place.  Poor Lucas.  That "whole face" smile is the look he got every time he got to see and touch and actual kitty.  He is a ninth grader this year.  My baby...my baby....*sniff*  This was taken at the nasty haunted farm that my sister Kim used to live at.  I did like the lawn full of sweet clover, though.  Lucas is the little brother of Kyle.  Erik is a little cousin of those two.

I know exactly how you feel. My "babies" are now 28, 27, 26, 20, 18, 17, 15, and 9. Only the 9 year-old still likes to cuddle. She's also the only one still smaller than me. (But not by much, LOL)

My backyard used to be full of sweet clover, but the wild violets have taken over. I like the violets -- they're lovely shades of blue and white, and they don't attract as many bees as the clover did.

The farm where i grew up had purple, a pinkish purple, white, and yellow violets all over the place. I loved them and used to pick big bouquets of them before my mom mowed the yard, to "save" them from certain doom.
