It is freaking cold as hell outside--and inside.  It is -15 (that's fifteen degrees BELOW!) at the moment--and that is not with wind chill.  That is the actual temperature.  UGH.

When I went to bed last night, there were already a few schools announcing late starts for today.  When I woke up this morning, I turned on the TV and there were more, including Triton, which is the local school district here.

My school posted a late start shortly after that.  I turned off the alarm and tried to go back to sleep, but of course I couldn't.  So, I got up and brushed my teeth and am now on the internet writing this little entry.

The following school districts are two hours late:
  • Albert Lea (You know it is bad when a big district like this has a two hour late start)
  • Blooming Prairie
  • Byron
  • Caledonia
  • Cannon Falls
  • Chatfield
  • Dover-Eyota
  • Fillmore Central
  • Goodhue
  • Hayfield
  • Houston
  • Kasson-Mantorville
  • Kenyon-Wannamingo
  • Lake City
  • Lanesboro
  • Lewiston
  • Lyle
  • Mabel-Canton
  • NICC Cresco Center
  • NRHEG (where my brother's kids go)
  • Pine Island
  • Plainview-Elgin
  • ROC
  • Rushford-Peterson
  • Spring Grove
  • St. Charles
  • St Paul Lutheran
  • Triton
  • Wabasha-Kellogg
  • Winona
  • ZED Alternative
  • Zumbrota-Mazeppa
I am sure no one cares that all these schools are two hours late, but it always gives me a little thrill to see HOW MANY kids are rejoicing that their school is either closed or two hours late.  LOL.

The last thing I need right now are snow days because my seniors are booked to give their presentations EVERY DAY from today to the end of the quarter.  If we have ANY snowdays that make us miss 4th hour, we are screwed.  I will have to have them come in and give their presentations during my prep or before or after school.

It's looking likely (or at least possible) that we will have a snow day again tomorrow.  At this point they are saying 2-4 inches then blowing snow once it stops actually snowing.  Now, they were saying 2-4 for this last bunch, and we had 6 inches here.  So, suffice it to say, I will believe it when I see it.

I feel better today, but still feel quite tired.  I shouldn't feel tired as I slept almost all day yesterday and slept very well last night.  I did dream, but my dreams were not noteworthy last night.

I actually feel hungry today, so I might make some scrambled eggs--at least  I will get some protein into my body.
