A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TO 4 PM CDT
MONDAY.

SNOW WILL SPREAD ACROSS SOUTHWEST AND SOUTH CENTRAL MINNESOTA
OVERNIGHT AND INTO CENTRAL MINNESOTA AND WEST CENTRAL WISCONSIN BY
MONDAY MORNING. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 2 TO 3 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE
OVER PARTS OF SOUTHWEST MINNESOTA WEST OF REDWOOD FALLS AND
FAIRMONT BY MORNING...WITH LESSER AMOUNTS TOWARD MANKATO...ALBERT
LEA...AND THE SOUTHERN TWIN CITIES SUBURBS. SNOW WILL CONTINUE
ACROSS MUCH OF THE AREA INTO MONDAY AFTERNOON...WITH TOTAL
ACCUMULATIONS REACHING 2 TO 4 INCHES SOUTH OF A LINE FROM AROUND
GRANITE FALLS TO THE TWIN CITIES. AREAS OF SOUTH CENTRAL
MINNESOTA WOULD BE IN LINE TO PICK UP THE MOST SNOW.

THIS WILL BE FIRST SIGNIFICANT SNOWFALL OF THE SEASON. THE SNOW
COULD ADVERSELY IMPACT MOTORISTS...ESPECIALLY DURING THE MORNING
COMMUTE MONDAY...AND ALSO DURING THE BULK OF THE DAY ON MONDAY
OVER EAST CENTRAL MINNESOTA AND WEST CENTRAL WISCONSIN.

THE SNOW WILL BEGIN TO TAPER OFF AND DIMINISH MONDAY AFTERNOON...
AS THE STORM SYSTEM MOVES NORTHEAST OVER THE WESTERN GREAT LAKES.

OMG--we could be looking at our first snow day of the season....which would not be ALL bad....

:LOL

I recognize the town because you've mentioned it before.

"The small town of Owatonna, Minn., has been losing inhabitants as well as jobs in the recession, reports Donny Rowles of local ABC affiliate KAAL. Hundreds of continued layoffs and lack of reliable work has sent many residents packing up to the Twin Cities, where opportunities are more plentiful. "More people are heading to the metro area for the positions," said Brian Coleman, the manager of the Workforce Development Center."
