The black box there will be a bookshelf. I have a special plan for it that involves elephants. If it turns out the way I see it in my head it will be super mega coolioso.

I have to think of something for the left wall. If I can find a sticker packet with flying tropical birds, that would be so cool. Or maybe something with camels. I don't know. I'll see what I can find.

Cynthia trimmed the bottoms of the beds with small rock-like beads that I had. It looked really cute.

Note that there is a little boy doll reclining in one of the beds. He looks like he is enjoying the room.

Are you going to make little theme books for the bookshelf? Like Jungle Book and Riki Tiki Tavi?

Yes. And maybe a picture book of African Animals. I love making the little books, though I have to get better atthem. They are still a little "rough" for me. The kids love them, and they are the ones who are playing with them, and the dolls don't mind.

I think I might actually be able to do a readable Rikki Tikki Tavi. I always loved doing that story with my seventh graders.

Do you know how big books are made? I took a class at a professional development once. I imagine the little ones would be similar but with different materials. I.E. a much thinner cardboard for the binding.

I am going to look up on line to see if I can find some free instructions.

I do have two other ways of making the books that are "okay." But, for me, the more realistic it is,the cooler it is.
