Unusual sight, a photo by Pirate Queen ChoChiyo on Flickr.

There is an exceedingly narrow gravel road that cuts across from the Rice Lake road to another paved road that takes you into the north side of Owatonna.

I love going down this road because it is practically a one-lane "dirt road" and is very rustic. The day I took pictures of the turkeys, I decided to cut across on this little road, and what did I see in the ditch but an abandoned leather sectional! Right next to the cornfield. LOL.

Since I had my camera, I decided to take a picture of it for posterity.

I didn't do a very good job of fitting the whole thing into my view finder, but oh well. You get the idea.

Not unusual here. Well, except for the corn fields.

There's abandoned furniture all over. My alley always had a sofa, couch, table or something dumped in it every week.

Occasionally the apartment building across the alley will evict people, then the asshole managers will dump the furniture in my driveway or against my fence and I have to call the city about it. It's because if they get rid of it they have to pay. If they dump it in the alley for someone else to take care of, it's free and they don't have to take the time to make any calls. Fuckers. And the city won't do anything unless I catch them in the act. I have to PROVE it's them doing it.

The did this a week after my appendicitis surgery and I had to use my car to push the sofa out of the way so I could get out of the driveway. Broke a fender.

I usually push the crap right back into their parking area next to their dumpster.

I can't stand people who dump their trash for someone else to clean up.
