I went there today and it was horrible. They were mean to me and impatient with me because I had three packages to mail out and I got there at 9:55. The one package was bound for Australia. I hope it will mail okay. .The woman who waited on me didn't seem to know shit from shinola.
Piper and Garth are now on their way to Austrailia. I didn't have time to make Garth a sleeping bag, but I made him some white knit pjs and a pair of blue pants. The soccer shirt I stole from the little McDonald's Madame Alexander doll fit him perfectly and he looked SOOOO cute in it. I had to sew a snap on it, but otherwise, it was perfect.
It's too bad they mold the clothing (or most of it) on those little dolls. They are actually really cute, except for that. I can't stand molded clothing on dolls!
The FUN of them is putting them in different clothes and sending them off on adventures.
I was shaking and sweating by the time I got out of there. That place is HORRIBLE.
But, I mailed off steven's afghan, Loanne's dolls, and The Kids.
Done, done, done.
Soon I will be able to mail off the crochet hat and scarf I'm making for Beccak. I've never made a hat for a human before--and it is turning out cute. Despite the fact I had to rip it out once because--even though I followed the pattern--it was turning into a hat for a GIANT.
Now it is perfect for my head--which is an average sized head, as far as I can tell.
I was so tired and burnt out that I could hardly stand it. I couldn't get anything done in the house--I was just too exhausted. First I crocheted on the hat for a while and talked to my little sister Tammy on the phone. She was working on moving her stuff from their current house to their new one.
I am filled with envy--as well as being very happy for her.
I will NEVER get to build my own home to my specifications--shit, I can't even sell the damn thing I am forced to remain in now so that I can move into something fit for humans in a decent town.
Sigh.
The stalker tried to guilt me into going to a movie with her--"I'm so tired of being cooped up in the house--I've been so sick. I need to get out...."
I almost caved--but it pissed me off that she's had at least three weeks of laying around being waited on hand and foot while I've been working my ass off every damned day.
So I spent almost the whole day napping instead.
tomorrow I have to go to school and get things lined up for the new semester.
Hard to believe the school year is half done already.
Not that I am complaining. I am looking forward to summer!
