Ack.

I was so tired last night that I kept falling asleep at the keyboard.  Finally I turned out the lights at 8:00 and went to sleep.  I had to wake up to pee a couple of times, but I slept until 5:30, when the alarm went off, and I hit the snooze repeatedly again this morning because I didn't want to get out of bed.

I felt fine for the first few hours of school...Then I started to feel queasy and yucky.  We had our Health and Safety Fair today.  We followed our homerooms around as they sat through (rather interesting) presentations.  Two homerooms were combined for each session.  I was paired with Robin.  It went really well, I think.  Both of our groups were very well behaved, asked appropriate questions (except for Carl, who was driven to be a dipshit in the final session--he suffers from the delusion that everyone thinks he is amusing, and he isn't).  We had a "smoking" presentation first.  They showed us a real pig's lung and had one of the girls inflate it.  That was the most disgusting thing I have seen in recent days.  Next they had their screenings--tested their hearing, blood pressure, vision, etc.).  Then we watched the sheriff's department's "Roll Over" presentation, which was interesting.  The kids kind of snickered as the dummies were tumbled around inside the spinning car.  A couple wanted to be strapped in and try it out.  Of course, that did NOT happen.  Heh heh.

After break, we saw a "Risky Behaviors" presentation.  I learned a couple of things that I didn't know already.  One was that you could infect yourself with genital herpes while masterbating if you have a cold sore on your mouth, touch your mouth, then touch your genitalia.  That is disgusting.  But I didn't know that before.

It was after this session that I had to go and puke for a while--it is very difficult to puke quietly, did you know that?  It can be done, but it isn't easy.

I caught up with my group on the Blood Bank presentation (about how to give blood and why to give blood) and the "facts about alcohol consumption" session.  That is the one that Carl began acting brainless in.  He was pretty good the rest of the day.

We had a 2 hour planning meeting after we sent the kids home at noon, which we always do on Wednesday.

We were attempting to work out the details of our campout next week.  During the meeting, I worked on the little granny squares for the barbie vest I'm making for Jeanne-Marie.  They are a pain in the ass to make because you have to keep snipping the thread, but they are turning out very cute, and I am anxious to see what it looks like when it is done.  It is going to be a major pain in the ass to weave all those loose ends in.  I'll post a picture of the pile of squares soon...and a picture of the whole thing, when I am done making it.

My yucky, nauseated, queasy feeling lightened during the meeting somewhat--but my stomach hurts like it did on Saturday again.  Not as severely, thank goodness, but it is swelled and tender to the touch.  I am wondering if the sugar free candy Mom gave me is causing this.  I am thinking that both stomach aches have come after eating that stuff.  And I only ate one or two pieces, too--I didn't make a pig of myself and gobble up tons of it.

I guess I won't be eating any more of it--I hate these stomach aches.

Now I need to go and read my bazillion emails.  Sigh.
