Not too much to report today by way of personal accomplishments.

I got the bathroom sink and toilet sparkly clean today and picked up a bunch of dirty clothes that had been scattered about the floor.

Ingrid and I went to see the movie Imagine That.  It was predictable but cute.  The little girl who played Eddie Murphy's daughter was such a little cutie pie.  Apparently she is from Minnesota.

After that, Ingrid and I went to Carlos O'Kelly's where I had my normal spinach and mushroom enchilada with fajita chicken.  Yummy.

Then we went to Walmart.  I needed another plastic container as the kittens had chewed their way through the bag of cat food I was thinking of trying as "treat" food for them.  I also bought five more bags of their favorite treats, a small bottle of milk for upstairs so I could eat cereal upstairs and not continue to not eat it during the summer monthsm, a bag of hard rolls, some toilet paper, and four ears of sweet corn.

I have been very hungry for sweet corn, and it looked really yummers.

When I got home, I cleaned out the top drawer of my bedside table, for about the fifty eighth time.  I was so burnt out that I lay down to snuggle with my kitties, fell asleep, and just woke up a bit ago.

I have had two really intense and intriguing dreams/nightmares in the last couple of days.  They were so vivid.  I really want to write about them, but I haven't felt like typing up the stories because it would take so long.

I'll try to have the patience to write about them tomorrow.

I did nothing. The usual.

I had a retirement party for the librarians at 4 pm so I just wasted the entire day watching TV and surfing the net.

Today I was going to drag myself shopping and to my parents' house because I thought it was Father's day. Turns out...it's not. It's next week.

So I'm staying home. I don't need to go shopping for food until tomorrow and I have a whole week to get to Costco and buy my Dad a big bag of pistacios (his fallback present.)

I need to pack some boxes to mail. And there's always cleaning up. The house is still a sty. I've made no headway whatsoever.

I talked to Dennis who is retiring from Hoover, the school I want. I bid on 5 schools and didn't get two. They choose their librarians last week. Hoover and two middle schools are left. But it looks like none are doing interviews. Dennis did say that the principal asked him to be on the interview committee but I think that may have been before HR advised the schools they should either interview everyone or interview no one. And there are so few librarians that if the schools don't hussle whoever they wanted may be offered a job by a different school. I think that may be why they're bypassing the interview process. I did both e-mail and phone and leave voicemail to the principal asking if they would be interviewing. Haven't heard a thing. Dennis says the principal doesn't return e-mail or phone calls and I'm thinking WTF? Is that true or is Dennis just trying to keep my hopes up. Whatever. I only bid on the schools that had full time librarian positions. Many of them are half time and the schools are paired up to create a full time position. No way I want to work a job split between two schools. I did that this year. That's fine for elementary but insane for middle and high school. So if I don't get these three schools, there are two left that just opened up. *IF* there is a July post and bid, I'll try for those.

Until I know what my assignment is, I can't clean out my garage or get rid of any of the instructional materials I've saved for 30 years. Not the music stuff. Not the sixth grade stuff. And I won't know what library stuff I'll need until I know middle school or high school.

No wonder I'm stressed.

And my car still hasn't sold. In fact, no one is even asking about it anymore.
