Sep. 20th, 2021 11:04 amI dried my last load of clothes and washed the two throws that I keep on my bed. The pink one is for me to cuddle under when I get chilly in the night, and the deep red colored one is for Peach's fuzzy butt to snooze on day or night.
It was a gorgeous, sunny day, and I spent a good share of it catching up on my DW entries. I also spent a good deal of time breaking down and stacking a ton of cardboard that needs to be recycled. The second wave of fly infestation is beginning to decline. I have been sweeping up a ton of their gross little carcasses. I'm so tired of finding them EVERYWHERE. There were nearly a dozen dead bodies in my shower the other day when I went to take a shower! Yuck! My workers did not show up again today. I was hoping they'd get the siding done this week and be working on the deck, but nope.
Not much else going on. Lily is home from Wisconsin. She reports that her evil daughter in law was "nice" to her but "still had to have her own way in everything." Her daughter in law is a crazy trumper bitch who is mean to everyone. I do not know what my cousin sees in her--she must be willing to fulfill all his sexual fantasies, is all I can figure out. She claims she cannot get the Covid vaccine because she is "allergic" to what's in it. None of her supposed "allergies" have been verified by a physician. She is also a big believer in all the conspiracy theories broadcast by Qanon, OAN, Tucker Carlson, and all the other nut jobs.
Lily is terrified of her because she is sure that the nasty witch would never let Roger see her again if she crossed her in any way. My opinion is that if Roger allows his wife to mistreat his mother and forbid him to see her, then Roger is a ball-less asshole himself.
I could not put up with Ninette's never ending bullshit myself. I would have given her the boot long before any children entered the picture.
At any rate, I am glad Lily made it safely home and that there were no major outrageous events to hurt her.

Date: 2021-09-20 09:12 pm (UTC)The flies. I saw this on one of the UK shows about house renovations. They live in the walls and hatch out every spring or something. You might need to get an exterminator in or something. A dozen doesn't sound bad. They had hundreds of dead fly carcasses all over the sills and floors of the windows. Are you sure your screens are all tight? That they're not getting in through open windows or doors? If so, that means the ones inside are laying eggs somewhere and they're hatching inside. I'd go around with a caulking gun and make sure all of the cracks around windows, moldings and trim are sealed.
